Rating: Summary: wow......this book is good Review: Ive read many books in my day. im a kid. im not afraid of any book, but this one gave me a chill. i love king and he is and absolute genuis. absolute. i recomend this book for anyone that enjoys King.
Rating: Summary: Scariest, most intense book I ever read!!! Review: Gripping story, best of SK I ever read-his classics are better than anything recent- excellent prologue-death, grief, madness, the unraveling of a persons mind-and thats just the beginning!!! Death is a mystery, burial is a secret and peoples emotions are unfathomable-SK gets to the heights and depths of reality here-and scares you senseless! Poor Steverino-he probably still wakes up in the middle of the night, deep in the mid-west, listening to himself scream, after fleeing Ludlow, Maine, the place this all happens. At least, no matter where steverino goes, he can always say to himself, at least I'm not in Ludlow. And he's right. Nothing could ever be as bad as that.
Rating: Summary: I took a deep breath after finishing the last page... Review: I can't understand why so many readers did not like this book. Most of the complains were that it was too disturbing, but HEY! Wake up! It's horror novel what did you expect? A love story? I enjoyed reading this book. It was frightening and mysterious. It was so well written I could almost smell the moist dirt in the burial grounds! Just another masterpiece by Stephen King.
Rating: Summary: Classic King chills to the bone Review: Stephen King has a knack for getting inside our heads, for bringing out our worst fears and our nightmares. This novel convinced me that King is, in fact, the master of the macabre. The Creeds are an ideal family, Louis is young and handsome with a good job and a loving wife, and they have two happy, young children. The characters exist in a utopia, but this quickly changes when they move to Maine for Louis's new job. I don't want to give away specific plot information, but the Creeds learn the extremely hard way that sometimes death is preferable to the soulless quasi-humanity of one invoked from beyond death's door. In attempting to use the Pet Sematary to return various characters to life, Louis Creed learns that death is a force not to be tampered with. This novel will thrill and chill you to the bone.
Rating: Summary: a Wonderful suspensfull scary novel Review: All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!! I am not one to easily be scared by Horror novels but this one was enough to make me check the closet before going to bed!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Grabs you by the throat Review: This is one of King's most thrilling novels. Grossly enchanting and poweful, this book is a fast-paced read, revolving around a magnetizing story built with SK's most effective imaginative hardware. I borrowed it to a friend who's not into King and he couldn't put it down; he said it was great. If you've never before read anything by King, this is a good starting point. And if you're familiared with his work, this book will remind you why you liked the guy in the first place. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
Rating: Summary: Got me hooked on King!!!!! Review: This is the first Stephen King book I have ever read and it was excellent. After I read this book, I went out and bought two others; The Shining and IT. I would recommend this to all novel-lovers. The beginning was a little bit boring for most but after that it got A LOT better. This is probably one of the best books I have ever read.
Rating: Summary: King gets up there, but he's not over the top!!!! Review: I read this book over a very long period of time. Two and a half weeks to be exact. But i enjoyed it never the less. The movie although good, doesn't come close to surpass the moving terror that is dwelling in the book. I have to say the begining is a bit bumpy but it soon takes off and and never seems to slow down. This a good read, but it seems as if it doesn't end. I was really dissapointed with the ending, I think a master like Stephen King could have done this one just a bit different.
Rating: Summary: Good Book Review: This is definitely one of King's novels which I liked very much. The book is exciting and very interesting. It's a good release from some of the stuff he's written recently. Anyway, to any King reader his classics are usually better than the recent stuff.
Rating: Summary: Boring in the begining, but really scary at the end Review: I had heard about this book from a friend, telling me that this was Stephen King's most scariest book. So, I read the begining, it was rather dull (with an exception to Pascow's death). I thought, it'll get scarier by the middle, but it isn't. I'm about to throw the book across the room, when there is a death (no telling who). Rapidly, the book get's scarier and scarier until when I finish the book, it's night and I'm scared half to death. So, just on a note, if by the middle of the book you think, What's so scary about THIS, keep reading and find out. If you are a Stephen King fan, (which I'm sure you are), then I should suggest you read Dean Koontz and see how you like it. If you dislike Dean Koontz, I suggest you read in my opinion Stephen King's best book, Misery.
