Rating: Summary: Disturbing Novel Of Pure Terror Review: What I expected from Pet Sematary was a novel in which dead animals come alive and reak havoc on the humans around them. Not so. Instead, Pet Sematary is a truly disturbing horror novel in which Stephen King brings out the bad side to life, and how a normal family can suddenly become the gateway to evil. I enjoyed the novel very much. It is another excellent King novel in which he develops great characters and places them in a story that could only come from his superb mind.
Rating: Summary: Pet Sematary is a gripping novel, one of King's best. Review: Pet Sematary is a wonderful book. It combines the scary aura of the unknown with the everyday middle-class family, showing that things like this can happen to you. The recreation of the characters after they die is stunning, at first you think how good it is that they are back, but you soon realize things are not what they seem. If you are a King fan, you can't go with reading this one. You should stop by the Pet Sematary.
Rating: Summary: This book scared even me--highest praise for the author. Review: I was sitting up in bed reading this book in the middle of the night with my cat stretched across the foot, sleeping. When I got to the part about the strange, evil appearance of the resurrected cat's eyes, I felt an urge to peer over the book at my own feline. Sensing that he was being observed, he half-opened his eyes to reveal the his third eyelid. For those not familiar with cat anatomy, this is standard equipment, but even when you're used to it and you're NOT reading Pet Sematary, it's mighty weird looking! I almost dropped the book and fell out of bed! And the book gets scarier from there! I wouldn't change a thing, except I would have loved to have known exactly what had happened in the past to make Pet Sematary what it was. Evil spirits conjured up by aboriginal sorcerers? From which tribe? Why were they conjured? Was there a vendetta? Between whom and whom? How were the bad spirits driven underground? Is there an anthropologist in the house? But then again, when your loved one is back from the dead and coming after you with intent to get medieval on your buttocks, does it really matter? All you need to know is: Run! P.S. Mr. King, if you're reading this, I hope you are up and running very soon. Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. Take care.
Rating: Summary: PET SEMATARY is King's best to date! Review: PET SEMATARY was not just another great horror novel I was reading, but it was also emotional. Several disturbing mature subjects are talked about in this book, especially "why people die." The scariest parts in this book were when Louis brings his daughters cat back from the dead, and when he brings his dead son back from the dead. I didn't go to sleep after reading this!

Rating: Summary: Stephen King's finest work. Absolutely terrifying. Review: It may be the best horror novel of all time. If you've read my other reviews, you know I don't make such claims lightly. I've never read a novel that so mercilessly ratched up the terror, page by page. Every step of the way, I found myself thinking, "Oh, my god, he isn't going to do that. Oh my god, he did it!" If you read one book by King, read this one... unless you don't like sleeping with the light on.
