Summary: Great, bone chilling book
Review: This is a great book, but very scary, it will definately keep you up at nights. It is about a secret burial ground, with powers. You will not be able to put it down once you start. It also has lots of catchy sentences that keep you head in it. It works up to an unbelievable climax, any sound you hear will make you jump. It will get you so into the book, you will probably finish it very fast. If you have lost a your child tragically, not a recommendation.

Summary: Nate
Review: This is, quite simply, the greatest horror novel ever written. Poe, Koontz, Barker, et al. can hang it up. As a matter of fact, King himself hasn't come close in 17 years. If you have doubts, read the other reviews. Sure, there are some who thought it wasn't "up to par," but they are in the extreme minority; the truth is, this very, very dark and harrowing novel probably touched something in them with which they weren't entirely comfortable. But be warned -- read this ONLY if you like your horror no-holds-barred and straight, like a shot of whisky. It will disturb you, for days to come. You'll never be the same.

Summary: PET SEMATARY Will Scare You Back To Life
Review: PET SEMATARY remains (in my words) one of Stephen King's best books written.

The story concerns a man who moves to the country with his wife, daughter, son, and pet cat. There house is located near a "pet sematary" where people in the past have buried there pet animals that were killed on the highway. There is also another cematary connected to the "pet sematary" and it happens to be an ancient Indian burial ground that can supposedly bring the dead back to life if they are buried there.

Even though this book is total fiction, the combination of supernatural folklore and reality-based situations might make some readers uneasy.

Stephen King also wrote the screenplay to the film adaptation of PET SEMATARY.

Summary: Kayla's point of view
Review: Pet sematary is one of the most challenged, and oddest book I have ever read. I think it has a very good plot, and it's really kind of scary, sad and it also has a little bit of romance. This book is a little bit of everyithing. The book itself is very catchy and exiting. He will make you believe the unbelieveable. It's based on life after death and more. It is about these people with the last name of Cruds. A docter father, a charming wife, a 6 year old daughter and a 2 year old son. This storey will have you in tears, and out of your socks. I suggest this book becuase it is very good.

Summary: A Masterpiece and King's One True HORROR
Review: This was an AMAZING book. One thing I often here about this book is that "it was great, but it was SO dark." Hello! What's with the "but." It is horror, thus it is supposed to be dark (though many writers are getting tamer and tamer to the point of horror being a new and less impressive genre). Change those "but"s to "and"s people

I saw the movie version when I was six years old and it scared me to no end. Almost a decade later I found myself reading the book, and is one of my favorite things King has ever writting; if I did not already know the storyline it would have terrified me, which is something books and movies can rarely do anymore (very very very rarely, and hardly when they actually do.)

This is a well written horrorfest that should find its way in every horror lover's library.

Summary: Don't bury "Pet Sematary" among your other books!
Review: I definately think that Stephen King's "Pet Sematary" is among his best works! Although the movie version of "Pet Sematary" was one of my favorite movies as a kid, it is -as expected of a Stephen King novel/screenplay-miles away from being comparable to the book. The grief and deep personalities of the characters are simply shocking. One unforgettable aspect of "Pet Sematary" is it's depressing, gradual downward-spiral. That's the thing that keeps you saying," I can't possibly get any worse!" while you are reading it, and keeps you thinking, "What would've happened if THIS didn't occur?" after you've read it. Anyone who has read this book can attest to that. Even though Stephen King had said in the book a few times that "something" was causing the events to happen in their precise manner,I always wonder what may have become of the Creed family- as well as Church and Jud- if the cards had fallen differently. Say, what would the outcome have been if Louis chose Derry over Ludlow, or even if Victor Pascow had chosen another day to go jogging? Well I guess we all know what would have happened if things would have been different-it wouldn't be a Stephen King book!

Summary: One of King's lesser works
Review: "Pet Semetary" starts out very spooky, and then about half way through it loses its way and becomes kind of a freak show. The plot turns on extended action by one character (the father of the dead child) that just does not seem convincing. After seeing what the semetary does to the unfortunate creatures buried there, I found it unlikely that even in his profound grief the father would try to resurrect his son. King has written some great books, but this one simply doesn't measure up.

Summary: One of his finer books
Review: I'm in honors English and for one of our final projects we had to read a challenging book of our choice. I asked around to all of my friends what book I should read. A few of them recommended Pet Sematary, by Stephen King. Now I'm recommending it to you. Pet Sematary is such a suspensful book. It may seem like it's too long (376 pages), but once you pick it up I promise you won't want to put it down. Every event happens one after the other and you won't want to miss a thing. If you are into horror stories this is the definitely your book. It won't exactly leave you scared of the dark. But, it will definitely send chills down your spine. Stephen King is a very talented author, and Pet Sematary is one of his finer books.

Summary: Sorry to rain on people's pet parade...
Review: but, in my humble opinion, this book is one of King's worst. It's not believable. It's not a good read. It's predictable and formulaic. It's not frightening.

It reads like a book King was obligated to write, but didn't want to. As a former King fan, this is one I just can't recommend.

Summary: A book of surprises
Review: Curious, scared, amazed these are just some of the feelings I experienced while reading Pet Cemetery by Steven King. I would have to say that out of 10 I would have to give this book a 10! There were many things that I found interesting about this book. I really like the way that the author always had you wondering what was going to happen next, yet also adding the Dramatic Irony in there to really make you get in to the book. I found the plot of the story very creative and easy to get in to. I can honestly say that I didn't want to put down the book. I would suggest that if you are interested in reading a scary yet mind-boggling book Pet Cemetery by Steven King is the one for you!
