Summary: I give a copy to everyone I care about . . .
Review: Boy's Life is the type of book that, at any time or any place, can pull a person out of their life and make them young. The front cover says "Recapture the Magic" and I can't think of a more appropriate catch-line. At 21, closer to birth than death, hopefully, and having just begun to encounter the way real life pounds away and yanks away our simple loves, I think that we all need books like "Boy's Life" to help us keep that love simple. I give a copy to friends on any fitting occasion. I'd give one to you if i knew you . . .

Summary: Mr. McCammon, where are you?
Review: I hadn't thought about "Boy's Life" for quite a while. Suddenly, one day while just browsing, it came to me. Where is Robert McCammon? The last thing I remember was "Gone South." Did he give up writing? After writing "Boy's Life," was he suddenly drained? It got me to think again on "Boy's Life." It's a perfect book. I read it years ago, when it first came out. I had read his other books, especially liking "Swan Song" and "Mine." I didn't know what to expect with "Boy's Life." When I finished it, I immediately sent it around the family. Some of those scenes, I still visualize. The little kid who has to move away throwing the baseball way, way out of sight. The last day of school before summer, when the kids take flight. The "living" bicycle with the "eye" for a headlight. I have never read a book that really addresses the magic of being a boy. Just the thought of it makes me want to read it again, which is something I rarely do. Do yourself a favor. Buy this book, read it, let your friends read it. Leave it around for others to read. It's a magical reading experience. Mr. McCammon, if you read this, write more.

Summary: Thank you Mr. McCammon
Review: My mother gave me this book saying, "This may be the best book I've ever read." Having read it, I gave it to my wife saying, " This may be the best book I've ever read." Since then, we have given away many copies of this work saying the same thing again and again. No one has been disappointed. Thank you Mr. McCammon.

Summary: Extraordinary!
Review: I read this book 7 years ago and I'm still looking for its equal. Mr. McCammon takes us into the life of a young boy and we see the world through his eyes. Totally delightful and scary at the same time. I cried, I laughed, I loved this book. It has remained with me through the years. Please Mr. McCammon, write us some more.

Summary: Relive your childhood once again!
Review: My #1 favorite book of all time... Take the opportunity to recapture the innocence and magic of youth. This book will transport you to a time in your life when the most important things were your dog and your bike... An emotional rollercoaster! Every man owes it to them selves to read this wonderful book... Robert McCammon is brilliant!

Summary: The greatest "boy" book I've ever read!
Review: This is one of those books, that upon finishing it, you never look at things quite the same way again. Your internal landscape has been altered forever by the alchemy of the author. I won't describe the plot, others here have tried, what's important, is that, for the duration of your reading of Boy's Life and for some time after, the real world loses a clarity and you find yourself back in Alabama in the early 60s with a ragtag group of boys playing baseball and staring up into the sun waiting for a ball to drop out of the sky. Fortunately, it never does! This is a story filled with wonder, wisdom, redemption and all the "stuff" of growing up that most of us are not gifted enough to render into such readable prose. One of the finest novels I've ever read or recommended! I envy you reading it for the first time.

Summary: Great book
Review: An excellent book! I couldn't put it down; It keeps you on the edge of your seat. With all of the side stories, the main plot never becomes dull.
