Summary: Don't Look Behind You
Review: First of all I love this author and I've read most of hear books and this one is one of her best. I really liked this book because it is very suspenseful and has a great plot. The beginning of this book wasn't very strong but the rest of the book was a lot better. I think this book had characters that I could relate to. Not because of their situation but because they seemed like real people. So overall I think this is a book worth reading once but not twice.

Summary: Dull 'Til The End
Review: I found that this book didn't get to be as suspencful as any of the other Lois Duncan books I have read before. I would like to recomend to anyone who is looking for a good book, "The Twisted Window," or "I Know What You Did Last Summer". Both of these books kept me on the edge of my seat all the way through. The last few chapters of this book was the best part of this book. I only wish that it didn't take so long to get to the good part.

Summary: Book Review For Don't Look Behind You
Review: The book Don't Look Behind You by Lois Duncan was a thriller. I did not want to put it dowm. I enjoyed reading it because it was unpredictable. Throughout the whole book, I did not know what was going to happen next. I like how the book moved quickly and did not go into great detail over everything. The author never gave the reader time to loose interest. I also liked how the book was realistic. It seemed like the story really could happen.

My favorite part in the book was toward the end. A hitman had locked April and her grandmother in a closet while he waited for April's father to return. April escaped from the closet using the secret escape hatches hidden in each closet. After crawling through the attic, she descended from the hatch in another room. She expected the hitman to be out in her living room but he was nowhere to be found. So, she snuck out the back door and decided to run into town for help. When she approched the front yard, the hitman cam out of the darkness and began to chase her. She ran to her car, got in, and locked the doors. Unfortunatly, the car would not start.

The conflict in the story was unlike and other book I've read. The whole idea fo leaving you home and living in secret made the reader curious. To top it off, the family would probably never return to their home, family, and friends. The climax of the story was just like that in an award-winning movie. Having one of the most dangerous hitmen in the United States chasing a teenager through her yard made me want to hold my breath.

Summary: Extremely Exciting!!!!!!!!!! :)
Review: Don't Look Behind You is a suspenseful book which takes place in the late 80's. April Corrigan is a typical 17 year old girl who lives in Norwood, Virginia. In school she plays tennis, is popular and has a boyfriend whom she loves very much. The problem in the story is that a hitman is after April's father to prevent him from testifying in court. April and her family have to go into the witness protection program. April must give up her friends, her boyfriend, the prom, her home, and the state tennis championships in Virginia and begin a new life in a small rural town in Florida. She talks about her feelings and all the difficulties she has to face. Lois Duncan made this a very suspenseful book. It isn't one of those books where you can stop in the middle of the chapter; all the chapters endings have cliffhangers which make you want to read on. A theme that I learned from this book is that life isn't perfect, there are times you have to do things that you don't want to do.

Summary: Don't Look Behind You!
Review: Don't Look Behind You was a really good book. As soon as I started reading it I was hooked. Some books don't get good til the middle or end but this book was good on the first page. The first page had me asking what is going to happen next. If you want to see how hard it would be to be in the Witness Protection Service than read this book and you'll be hooked.

Summary: Great Book To Introduce People Into The Author Lois Duncan!
Review: This was a great book. Lois Duncan really wouldn't let you put it down in the technique that she used! This story is about a girl named April and she is forced to move and go under cover because some people are after her father. I won't say much more but that when April moves- she can't tell anyone where she is moving, when she is moving, and why she is moving. When she moves she leaves behind her boyfriend Steve, all of her friends, and her normal life. I highly reccomend this book if you haven't read any Lois Duncan novels-and even if you have- read it!

Summary: Bad Look to Look Back
Review: May 23, 2000 Don't Look Behind You is a wonderful story about a family that lost everything when they had to be uncover under the witnesses program. This program is to help the families to begin a new life without being scare for their life. April was a girl that was seventeen years old, she had a father a mother and a brother. The mother was a famous writer, the father was a pilot, and the brother had a peculiar heredity; he had one brown eye and one green eye. April had a perfect family, they were not rich but they were living comfortable. All these problems began when the father got involved into drugs. He was a drug dealer but he was working for the FBI. The drug dealers didn't know this till they find out that he was going to testify against a drug dealer. The drug dealers warned him up for witnessing against him. Abigail's father didn't care about this, he just wanted to be the hero without caring about his family. At first the FBI didn't let him know that his family was in danger, they knew that he would prefer to be quiet than to lose his family.Abigail and her family had to be hiding for a long time, they didn't know what to do. When they found out that they have to change their names and their life styles for their own sake, they got mad and sad at the same time. I wouldn't like to be in Abigail's place because I would die. This book had many exciting moments in which you wouldn't like to stop reading. I was always wanting to go into the next page to read what was going to happen to this family. I really got excited when Abigail found her house in Florida deserted. But the best part was when the killer appeared before her eyes. This was the moment in which she realized that she was responsible for most of the problems they had with that killer. Nothing would have happened if she hadn't gone or called her grandmother.I really liked this book, and I would recommend it to anyone. I am sure that you will like this book because it is a realistic history.

Summary: If I could, I would rank it 5 million stars!
Review: I loved this book. I read it about a year ago. I was 10 when I was told to read this book. This girl in my class( who has read probably every book,I mean every book, in the library)deeply recommended it. I simply loved it and read it in 2 days. I don't want to go all crazy about how great this is, so I'll just say that it was not only a suspense/thriller, but a deep book about April Corrigan's struggle through this great "adventure" happening quickly in 1 day and just before the prom, happening all so suddenly. I had read many "good" books by Lois Duncan before this one, but this was truly the best and you don't have to be a "full fledged teen" to enjoy this young-adult thrill.
