Summary: Don't Look Behind You
Review: Out of all of Lois Duncan's books, this one is probably my favourite. I loved to see April go through something so scary! I was really sad about Jim though, because I know if I were April, I'd feel guilty. When I read this, I really felt as though it were me living this, not April. And when the part with the little girl remembering her, my mouth literally dropped open. That was probably my favourite part. The only part I didn't like, is when they were in the hotel, it seemed dull and boring. And then, when she doesn't call her boyfriend, I was like, that's unrealistic, pretty much everyone would have done it, because they wouldn't have been able not too. I really liked the ending, it was cool to see her do the sneaking out, and then when she felt guilty and was going to turn back, I was like, "Don't you dare". And i was happy to see that she didn't. So I recommend this book to anyone, because it's not really a thriller, but it is certainly suspenseful.

Summary: I LOVE THIS BOOK
Review: This really has to be one of her better books. I read this book ages ago and I can still remember it like yesterday. The story is very compelling and you just feel so much for the main characters. You'll be sad, happy and scared all the time through out this whole book!

Summary: Suspenseful non average teenage life
Review: A Review by Amy

April Corrigan didn't know that this was her last normal day in Norwood, Virginia when she woke up. April was stripped from everything she knew and loved. April was taking from her normal teenage life because of her father was almost killed for testifying for a drug bust undercover for the FBI. April and her family's life were forever altered by being put under a Federal Witness Security Program. Will April ever survive this new life?

I enjoyed reading this book a lot. What I liked about this but was how the author would create suspenseful moments, like for an example while April's family was in the hotel and April noticed something strange about the Cleaning lady. That moment I could not put the book down I wanted to know what would happen next. I would read chapter to chapter because Lois Duncan would leave you 'hanging off the cliff' craving more and wanting to see that happens the main character. Another thing I liked about this book was the fact you could follow it so easy that it create a sense that you were along with April. For an example at the end of the book I would feel scared for April when she meets the Vamp and Happy for her that she and her family was safe. What else I liked about this story was that at the end after the climax Lois Duncan would just stop there she would start up another scenario and the reader would want the book to continue.

I loved this book so much I recommend it to people that love suspenseful, edge of your seat books. This story was very eventful and active book so I recommend this to active readers as well.

Summary: New Life
Review: When a reader would first see the book Don't Look Behind you they would think that this book was a horror and someone stalking another person. That is sort of what this book is about, but it is more about a family who has to leave their life they know and make a new life.

When April Corrigan's father goes to court as an eyewitness in a drug scam, things start to erupt. The people that George has been testing against hired a "great" hit man to hunt him down and kill him. Once things start going haywire, Max, George's friend, sends the whole family on a "mini-vay". They are to not call anybody or talk to anyone they know so no one is able to find out where they are. But Vamp, the hit man, has found out where they are staying and tried to kill him, but they were lucky enough to escape safely. Once they are safe, Max decided to put them through the Federal Witness Security Program. They are all given new names and birth certificates and start a whole new life down in Grover Florida.

April is furious about going to live somewhere else, cause she has left her life she knew and loved and now has to start all over. She thinks that there is nothing to do in Grover Florida but is thrilled to find some kids her age playing tennis, her favorite sport, and finally starts to enjoy it more. Just as she gets delighted with the new people she meets, she finds out that her old boyfriend has started to date her best friend, her new friend is a jerk, and her family it growing apart. She hates it there so she finally decides to go back to Norwood Virginia to live with her grandma. She fly's back on a plane and has her boyfriend meet her at the airport and take her home. She was horrified to see the type of condition her grandma was in. Vamp had found her and beat her to tell him where her son-in-law was. But since she didn't know he never found out. Once she arrived her grandma and her went back to Grover to live together as a family again. But what they didn't know as they were driving back was that they were being followed!

Summary: don't look behind you
Review: You couldn't come up with a more suspenseful story than Don't Look Behind You. It's about this girl named April and her dad is an undercover agent. While her father was in t the courtroom and they had just been let out to go to lunch and in the crowd the heard a shot and they think it was meant for Aprils dad. The family has to stay at the place the found for them to stay for a week or two. The family has to stay there for about two months. While the family is there they can't make any phone calls to anyone.

In my opinion I think this book is able to put you on the edge of your seat. You will never want to put this book down for a second. This book reminds me of the movie The Watcher. If you like suspense novels you should read this thrilling book

Summary: a new life
Review: "Don't look behind you" by Lois Duncan is a great book. It's about a girl name April who has great friends, a boyfriend, and a shot at the state tennis championships. One day she was check out of school with out saying any good-byes and was gone from her perfect life. April and her family go into hiding and can't turn back to their lives they love.

The book was another great one by Lois Duncan. It stated off slow but once it gets moving you can't stop reading it. Each chapter ends in cliffhangers so you can't put it down. I would tell all of friends about the book because it has love, adventure, hate, betrayal, fear, and suspense. You'll love it. I promise.

Summary: Gripping
Review: I read this book in my early teens and I must say, it is the only book I have ever read that I literally had to read from beginning to end and couldn't put down at all, not even to go to the bathroom. My mother had to keep dinner waiting for me for over an hour because I absolutely had to find out what happened and could not wait a second.

I'm not a suspense fan in general, so maybe this is normal for a suspense book and this one isn't all that great after all. It certainly has no literary merit.

Summary: Duncan at her finest!
Review: The book's basic premise is this: April Corrigan had the perfect life. A wonderful family, a loving boyfriend, and a chance to win the Virginia State Tennis Championships. Then quite suddenly April's perfect life and ultimatly, her existence is shattered when a shot is fired in a courtroom at April's father to keep him from testifying against a drug ring. April then finds out that her father has secretly been working for the FBI for quite some time trying to destroy a drug ring. April's family must go into hiding. Eventually April realizes that she will never be able to return home and to her life EVER. The Corrigan's are put in the Witness Protection Program and moved to an extremely small town in Florida. April has no friends, her parents, are fighting and she must give up tennis. April ties to run away back home tbut the results are quite diastrous. The book's basic message is that not all stories have a happy ending. You can't just get a hitman behind bars and return to your normal life. Sometimes people just aren't that lucky and sometimes life doesn't work that way. A truly wonderful book that leaves you hanging till the very end. It truly deserves 5 stars.

Summary: DONT LOOK BEHIND YOU REVIEW
Review: This is an exhilarating suspense about a girl from Norwood, Virginia who was named April Corrigan and had a perfectly normal life, she had younger brother, a mother who was an author of children books, and a father who worked on an airline called Southern Skyways. Aprils father was testifying against a group of drug dealer that infiltrated the airline where he works. Everything changed when someone shot at Mr Corrigan and they were put into the witness protection program, and living in and out of hotels for a matter of weeks until they were assigned permanent housing in a small town in Florida. There is where they changed there name and ran a photo shop called ZIP-PIC which made no money at all. And April had a hard time excepting that her life will never be the same.
This is by far the most interesting book I have read in a long time. It shows that your life can be perfectly normal one day and can be ripped into shreds the next. This book shows how you can never escape your past, it will always come back to haunt you. This book is also a perfect example about how fragile life is. I definitely recomend this book for anyone who wants a real page turner.
