Rating: Summary: great Review: I couldn't put the whole series down, it was great
Rating: Summary: Dark Angel is an Outstanding Work by VC Andrews Review: Dark Angel is, in my opinion, the best book ever written by the late VC Andrews. Heaven Casteel is the strongest character out there. She endures the seduction of Cal (in "Heaven"), the girls at Winterhaven School for Girls, the loss of Tom, the revelation of who Troy and Tony are to her, and the realization that her own grandmother, Jillian, is a vain woman with little time for anyone but herself. I don't want to give anything away, but I have to say that this is a wonderful book to read. The complete Casteel series is amazing!
Rating: Summary: Ah . . .back in the day Review: I remember back in 1995 when I read Flowers in the Attic for the first time, I was so enthralled by V. C. Andrews. I read all the dollanganger books. Heaven was so beautiful and talented and sensitive, yet strong. When I read Dark Angel, it brought Heaven to the dard and forbodding Farthinggale Manor. Jillian was so cruel and evil, when I found out the truth on how she denied Leigh when Tony raped her. You really must read Web of Dreams to understand that Jillian was the source of the evil, not Tony. Heaven and Troy's romance was a really nice thing to read.
Rating: Summary: Mind fodder for the attention deficit Review: I am being extremely generous in rating any of V.C Andrews books. In a world so messed up with incest and lies must we endure yet another book that is nothing but garbage? "Poor little Heaven" tortured yet again. It makes you wonder why so many people today are prone to hysteria and other senseless acts of stupidity. The girls at Winterhaven were "so jealous" of "Fresh faced cornflower blue-eyed Heaven that they just "had" to pick on her and what could she do? Just sit there with her "bowels retching" and wondering "Why me!?!?" But then of course shes not really a "scum-bag" Casteel, but a "cultured Bostonian" WHATEVER!!!! And of course the down-home Fanny naturally turned tricks to survive. Heaven rised above her mire and proved what? I'll tell you what; it proved that mind fodder still reigns supreme in this world. And come on whats with the sick obsession of incest?!?!?!? Everyone wants a piece of Heaven's sweet a$$... Poor thing; first born into poverty and then thrown to the sharks {IE Tony} and the gal was nothing but scum!!! She screwed her own uncle {albiet unknowingly} TRASH TRASH TRASH.... Its so sad that our young women of today are reading this crap; They should be reading something a little bit more substantial. If they want to read about wanton sex and sex-starved depravity they should read the Bible.
Rating: Summary: The Best in the Casteel Series Review: I have read every one of V.C. Andrews tragic novels and consider this book one of the best. It was so wonderful to read about Heaven finding happiness with Troy(even it was short-lived).Just as sad and beautiful as the rest of Ms. Andrews stories.
Rating: Summary: A brillient book. The whole Casteel series is the best. Review: One of the best series of books I've read. Just as good as the Dollenganer series. after reading all five of the Dollengarer series I didn't think it could get much better. The Casteel series was a nice suprise! I'll carry on reading till I've read them all.
Rating: Summary: A succulent morsel of literature. Review: The entire text of this novel seemed so beautiful. This bookkept me spellbound. I couldn't rest until I had read every book in theCasteel series. These books are the type which are okay to read over and over again. It's too bad such a marvelous writer had to "move" on.
