Rating: Summary: Buy this book! Review: I brought this book with me to read during our family vacation in Colorado. I started reading at 8pm. I did not sleep that night, no joke. I stayed up the entire night reading the book.. possibly Koontz's best work.
Rating: Summary: Phenomenal. Review: This book is absolutely amazing. The plot was great, and the character development was excellent. How all of the different characters and different plots came together was ingenious. The end was a big surprise, and it wasn't predictable at all until very close to the end. This was the second best book I've ever read. (The best is Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six.)
Rating: Summary: Superb, Spine Chilling, Review: This was the first book I ever read of Koontz's, and i've read them all so far. In my opinion he has out did King and other greats. I have been waiting for years to see this book turned into a motion picture. Maybe one day someone will decide to make it. You open that first page and you can't stop till it's over and then your like, DAMN. I never would have thought the book would have ended like it did. It will always be my favorite.
Rating: Summary: Koontz can do better Review: I didn't think I was ever going to finish this tedious read by Koontz. What was wrong with it: It was about 150 pages longer than it should have been; there were too many characters and not enough character development;and as the plot unraveled I realized how shallow, silly, and unoriginal it was; I mean, all these elaborate government conspiracy tales from Koontz are becoming really old. It's overkill. I've read most of Koontz's books and this is one of his worst.
Rating: Summary: Masterfully crafted down to the very distinctive detail. Review: Strangers is one of many of Koontz's novels in which he has out done himself with. A page-turner to the very end that will keep you reading well into the morning. A complicated tale with twists and turns that wind into an incredibly simple plot. Koontz is brilliant.
Rating: Summary: His best to date Review: Strangers was the first Koontz novel I ever read. I picked it up during Thanksgiving break in college, and after two sleepless nights finally finished all 900+ pages. I absolutely could not put it down (it even competed with the turkey!). I admit to a weakness for books involving psionics and/or government conspiracies, but this one was one of the top few. Even now I still reread it every few years or so.
Rating: Summary: Koontz's Masterpiece Review: This is Dean Koontz's masterpiece in my opinion. I've read all of his books so far. I've even lost count of how many what, 35, 36 books- and I really really enjoyed this one so much. I agree totally with the "Ocala Star Banner" review that says, and I quote: "Koontz has outdone himself, STRANGERS is so hauntingly beautiful that it should catapult him into the ranks of the great American authors." I couldn't have said it better.
Rating: Summary: A very satisfying and magnificent book Review: The first Dean Koontz book I read was 'Watchers', and I became a major fan after that. I believe that book is impossible to top, but 'Strangers' came very close to doing so. The characters are very real, the storylines are compelling, and the ending gave me both the chills and goosebumps. Don't miss this.
Rating: Summary: The plot thickens as you keep flipping the pages. Review: Good job, Koontz. Strangers has elements of hope for society as we know it. Informing us that we are not alone on earth. Although, I am currently studying for my CPA, I still made time to finish Koontz's story. I recommend those who enjoy reading science fiction to pick this book over others. : )
Rating: Summary: The BEST Koontz book that I have read yet! Review: This is the one book by Koontz that I consider my favorite! If you have never read a book by Dean Koontz, and are trying to decide which one to read first, this is it! I'd give it 10 stars if it were possible.
