Rating: Summary: Pretty good other than the drifting of the subject Review: I liked this book a lot and I found it really creepy and twisted. The only criticism that I have for it is that there was way too much information on the failing marriage and the husband's business deals. I found myself skipping pages of the business/marriage subjects because I could not pay attention to them. Other than that, it was a very spine-tingling book.
Rating: Summary: Unforgettable Review: Cujo is a dark, chilling tale about much more than a killer dog. It's another fine example of King transcending his genre and creating a keen observation on life and trajedy, as well as horror. The book does not preach or yield to plasticy predictability.
Rating: Summary: Not his best Review: Cujo wasn't a good book. King had a good idea about a rabid dog, but he limits his attacks. I expected Cujo to have a rampage through Castle Rock and attack many people. Instead, he limits it to just 3 or 4 people. And half the novel is spent with other charactors and places. Cujo is alright for a light read or if nothing else is availible, but The Green Mile and Diffferent Seasons are much better.
Rating: Summary: Gripping, stephen king at his best!!! Review: When I first picked up Cujo, I was only reading it to get in A on a assignment at school. But as I read I started to want to read it more and more. This has to be my favorite book from Stephen King. It not only has a exciting plot but it also has a few sub plots. In this book Stephen King is really able to grip the reader by making the reader fond of the characters and then placing them in grave danger. If you are a true Stephen King fan or if you just like a good book full of suspense and gore I would definetly recomend that you read this book.
Rating: Summary: MY PERSONAL FAVORITE Review: I love this book! It is so creepy, and it is very sad the way the dog gets scratched very innocently and gets rabid, turning him into a monster. it tells the story from the dogs point of view at times, which is very sad and interesting. If your interested in animals or being spooked, don't miss this! I love King's books, but this is my favorite along with Pet Cemetery.
Rating: Summary: Imperfectly entertaining Review: When the main plot gets going it grabs you in its vise-like jaws and won't let go, but there is way too much extraneo
Rating: Summary: Very bad book!!! Review: I love Stephen King movies. I picked out this book because it was the shortest one they had. Big mistake. I bought it expecting a scary and terrifying story about a killer dog when in fact, Cujo, the dog, wasn't even the main character. I think the book focused way too much on a failing marraige and very little on a killer dog. I wasn't interrested in their marraige at all. I wanted some action. This book was at the most a one-star.
Rating: Summary: AN AWSOME THRILLER FROM START TO FINISH!!! Review: I read CUJO and I have to say it's one of STEPHEN KING'S best novels not only does capture what the people in this story are going through when faced with an unbelivable meanace. But I felt he also managed to capture what the dog was feeling and thinking in dealing with it's illness and how it really did'nt want to hurt anybody. Who lives and who dies I won't say but it'll keep you on the edge of your seat that's for sure. So all in all don't miss reading CUJO because it's a suspensful masterpiece to say the least.
Rating: Summary: a bit slow Review: I must admit that I find King's earlier work to be a little slow and word-cluttered. The idea and the intent were there, but it's not one of King's better works.
Rating: Summary: Very good book Review: I enjoyed reading this book and I know I will read it again and again. The very end had me wondering what would happen next-would the dog get inside the car somehow or would the lady and her son escape the horror that was waiting to get them? I defintly think this is one of stephen king's best books yet.
