Rating: Summary: Did stephen king really write this one??? Review: First I'd like to state that i really love almost everything by king. This book is a real stupid one. Nothing speacial about it, it has only two real simple plots that innonate nothing. Maybe the heberw translater was a real bad one, or king just wrote a stupid book.
Rating: Summary: A Book Beyond Belief Review: Stephen King once again spin's a wonderful tale of maddness and horror. You feel so close to Rose McDaniels that you actually feel as one with her. This is a book you can't put down, but then what book as King ever written that you could! I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a little reality mixed with a horror so real you actually look in your closet before going to bed!
Rating: Summary: A dramatic and terrifying thriller, of brutal spousal abuse. Review: ROSE MADDER is one of the best books that I have read that has made my stomach cramp up in pain of the thought that somthing so terrible could happen to a human living creature. This unexpected feeling of fear is going to drive you to the edge of your seat. You will want to skip a head to find out what happens next. From the picture on the wall turning into reality to the women with the hideous face, that you dare not look into, you will fall in love with another one of Stephen King's novels. If you love unexpected things, then you will love ROSE MADDER by Stephen King.
Rating: Summary: The Best Book I've Ever Read Review: Since I've been reading Stephen King novels for about a couple months, I still have alot more to read. I'm only 14, but I know a good book when I read it. Rose Madder kept me reading, and reading untill the end, it was so good I just couldn't put it down untill I was done.
Rating: Summary: This book is very spell-binding. Review: This is about the best book that I have ever read. It is very well writing and a pretty easy read. It has a really exciting and suspencful plot. Stephen King really makes you care about the characters. This is a wonderful and creative book.
Rating: Summary: Excellent; refreshing in an angry kind of way Review: I thought Rose Madder was one of King's best books. It was so sad yet refreshing, learning about the two women and how similar and different they were; the fantastic aspects of the book; it was just wonderful!
Rating: Summary: Very well done. Review: This is a novel that really reveals the complexity of King's imagination. I loved the ending though.
Rating: Summary: Rose finally has enough of the beating after 14 years. Review: Rose Daniels gets the nerve to leave her husband after 14 years of marriage and trips to the hospital. She built up the nerve after a single spot of blood on the sheets of their bed. She had noticed this while sitting on "Pooh's Chair". On her way out the door she took Norman's ATM card. Which he soon finds out and holds that against her more than the fact of her leaving him. She travels 800 miles and finds food, shelter, and people to help her. She got a job and her own place to live, while Norman Daniels is on his way to find her. Killing anyone who gets in his way of finding his wife. Rose meets a nice guy, and finds herself slowly putting Norman in the back of her head, and he seems to be all she can think about. She met him in a local pawn shop, when she bought the painting of Rose Madder. Whenever Rose would find herself in a situation she didn't know how to handle, she would refer to the woman in the painting. Thinking about what she would do if she were in Rose's place. Norman goes to great extremes to finding Rose, but will he succeed?
Rating: Summary: Rose Madder will live on through the ages of literature! Review: Rose Madder was an awesome, relentlessy paced, riveting, engrossing, phantasmagorical roller-coaster ride. It just shows, very well, a perfect example of how good a storyteller Stephen King is. I never read a novel with a villain so damn good. Sure, Flagg was a good villain in The Eyes of the Dragon, but not near as good as Norman Daniels. Norman, a crazy, inexorable, savage brute, will do anything to find his wife, who left him and took his credit card, Rose. His dream finally comes true one day when she comes home from work. It's a confrontation you wouldn't want to miss. Although Insomnia was great, this is the novel that made me into a King fanatic. Rose Madder is the type of novel that makes authors such as Dean Koontz and Anne Rice wish Stephen King was never born. Too bad for them. Hell, this is the novel that should give Mr. King the Nobel Peace Prize. And The Shining should've won him the Pulitzer Prize. Hey, don't hesitate, hurry up and buy this book!
Rating: Summary: Starts great but dives in the end. Review: This book starts out great and you will really feel Rose's pain. However, the ending leaves something left to be desired. The concept was good but the ending just didn't do it for me. I just read Bag of Bones and it really shook me up, Rose Madder didn't emotionally charge me nearly the same way, but it's still a good read.
