Summary: Suspensfull!
Review: A very good book! Enjoyed it a lot! Had more suspense than horror. Which made it a good book! Enjoy!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Pretty good.
Review: This book was an exceptional read except for the ending. It was as if King was forced to finish the book within time constraints, and writing shouldn't be that way. The book was rather thought provoking and armed with an interesting concept. I would recommend this novel to anyone who likes King and has the time of day.

Summary: A good read but not quite up to top Stephen King form
Review: A somewhat slow start that speeds up to a whirlwind of a great novel only to drop to a whimper of an ending. I've read most of King's work and really enjoy the innovative ideas as well as the writing techniques he employs to keep his well from drying up. This novel skips around a bit in time but King handles this better than most. I had a problem with the ineptitude of the government agency known as the Shop. Their inability to track down and capture a man and his young daughter was stretching things in my mind. Read Ludlum to see how it can and should be done. The ending seemed to me like King couldn't decide on how he wanted it done. I am being tough on King here because he is such a talent and this novel, while very good reading, just doesn't quite make it up to his excellent standards.

Summary: An imaginative and thought provoking novel
Review: This is by far my most favorite Stephen King book of all I have read of his. I always come back to this one. An incredible story about a little girl with an awesome power that sets in motion a chain of events filled with intrigue and adventure while caught in an arm of a political system on a bent for ultimate power. Her power to start fires sends those who seek to control her on a road to ultimate destruction in their pursuit to harness her talents for their own ends. All this is going on while her only surviving parent, her father, tries to save her from those in pursuit of her and give her a normal life. In the end she releases her unbridled power to an almost apocalyptic ending and you will find yourself cheering as she does... A great story you will really enjoy, and a very different kind of novel.

Summary: Enjoyable and Suspensful
Review: I really like the premise of this book though it isn't terribly original-the so called evil government agency thing has been done sooo many times before! The parts of the book I liked best are the flashbacks to the college days and the experiments. There is something so evil about these that it gives me the creeps! Its a great read, but most of its appeal is in the suspense so maybe not a great reread.

Summary: Try this one!
Review: This was the 3rd King book I read, and definitely one of the best! The plot of the book is very unique, and King holds your attention with assorted dilemmas of all sizes. This book will get and keep your attention throughtout the entire course. Perhaps the best element of this story is the true wonder it will bring. You'll ask yourself questions about Charlie and her father, this book will have you involved!

If you enjoyed King's other work, or if you just like great characters and conflicts, this is a great book for you!

Summary: "Firestarter" : My second Stephan King book!
Review: "Firestarter" was the 2nd book by Stephan King that I bought when it first came out. I really enjoyed the book, and the movie! It made me think about what it would be like to have "special" abilities!

Summary: Firestarter
Review: I rate this book 5 stars because it's one of Stevins King's best. My favorte part of the book was how it started. At first it was confuseing; it sort of set you in the position of how the people in the book felt not knowing what to do where to go. As the book moves on you start to figure it out get a sence of whats going on. This book was great you won't be disapointed if you get it. Once the book picks up it stays on it keeping you reading to the next page wondering whats going to happen next.

Summary: More like 4 1/2 stars.....
Review: If you are a King fan you will absolutely love this book. It is a very interesting story line of a government experiment that went bad. It made me really think that there is probably stuff like this that takes place more often than we think. It is full of action and the descriptions make you feel like you are actually there watching this happen. As the reader you will really feel for Charlie and the decisions that she is faced with at such a young age. King really captures the essence of a eight/nine year old's torn mind of not wanting to hurt anybody yet not wanting her or her father to get hurt as well. The character of John Rainbird I also found to be interesting yet complex... I do not want to give too much away, so just read it! The way the book ended also left you with your imagination to play out with what you thought would happen next.

Summary: Steven King does it again
Review: Once again Steven King astounds us with this captivating tale of intrigue and excitment. There's never a dull moment. The transition from past to present is clear and understandable for any reader. Not at any time was I confused by what he meant and his points came across in such a way that the reader can say "yeah, I know what he's saying". Y ou feel for both Charlie and her father for the hell they are going through and hope that in the end everything will work out for the better. I'm not going to say what happens so you'll just have to read it to find out. This book is a must see and comes highly recommended. Thank you Steven King for another masterpiece.
