Summary: Too much imagery and too many side-journeys
Review: Vivid imagery and philosophical side-journeys can be good, but when overused, can dramatically slow down suspense. Sadly, this book is laden with things that slow the book almost to a crawl. I kept wanting to skip over long sections--several pages at a time--just to get back to the real action. I am writing a novel myself, and this book taught me what NOT to do. Also, I've decided that plots like this one are a bit too evil for my taste; I prefer plots with wholesome messages.

Summary: The BEST book ever written!
Review: Fear Nothing was and is still the best book I've ever read, and I've read quite a few books. Koontz uses his words to grab the readers attention and keep it all throughout his books, I literally read the first few sentences and couldn't put it down until I was finally done, four or five hours later. His characters are reprsented and described amazingly well, throughout the book it's like you form a bond with these characters and you grin stupidly to yourself at jokes they make. Another highlight of Fear Nothing was the super intelligent canine friend Orson. Personally he is my favorite character because he acts in a nature extremely close to that of humans, and Koontz writes about things like the faces Orson makes or the things he does, and you find yourself with that absurd grin on your face yet again. I haven't yet been graced with the opportunity to read the sequel, Seize the Night, but I'm without doubt when I say that it has got to be just as good if not better than this superb novel. If you've never read Fear Nothing and you're reading this review to get an idea, take my word and GO BUY IT! Sit down in your most comfortable chair with a drink nearby and read. I assure you that you wont be able to put it down until your drink is gone, and you have a large indent in that chair of yours. Don't miss it.

Review: Dean Koontz' book Fear Nothing, was an excellent read because the way Koontz desribed every event happening in the story with great details. He gave you enough detail for you to be abe to make an active picture in your head. The main character, Chris, had a tough life as young man because he is unable to go out into the daylight and has lost both his parents.Fear Nothing is really a thriller that will leave you always wanting to ready more.

Review: Fear Nothing is a great novel written by Dean R. Koontz. The book keeps you in suspense throughout the entire story. Fear Nothing was published in 1998. Other great books by Dean Koontz include Hideaway,Cold Fire, Strangers, The Bad Place, and Strange Highways. These are all very good books that keep you on the edge of your seat. Fear Nothing is a story about this man and his dog solving mysteries together.The main character of the story is Christopher Snow who has a rare genetic disorder that keeps him from being in the sunlight. Orson, Christophers dog is his best fried. Together Christopher and Orson begin to solve mysteries of there home town, Moonlight Bay. Christopher's dad is very ill and dying so they hired a nurse to take care of him. Since the nurse is there Chris has more free time than usual. As he begins to venture out into the dark world that he is confined to, he notices allot of disturbing incidences happening in Moonlight Bay. These mysterious happenings force him to rise above all fears and dig into the secrets of the inhabitants of the town. Dean Koontz's novel is a must read. Its suspense will keep the book in your hands for hours. The book may not make too much sense in the begining but things start to come together in the end. Just take your time reading and enjoy.

Summary: Some Thing's Don't Die,Can't Die
Review: "The hands of every clock are shears, trimming us away scrap by scrap, and every timepiece with a digital readout blinks us toward implosion." Time is of the essence in more than one way for Christopher Snow. Not only does he suffer from xeroderma pigmentosum (XP, which makes its victims vulnerable to skin and eye cancer), but he must also protect Moonlight Bay from a new breed of killers. Animals that have been genetically altered are running loose around the town and Chris is the only person who can save mankind. Now, he and Orson, his black lab, are uncovering secrets at Fort Wyvern that reveal how and why his parents died along with the real identity of his mother. The theme is life's victims defying all odds and finding a way to survive, which is unique to Dean Koontz's novels. He takes a poetic route with his publication of Fear Nothing; "There was a siren singing, and only I could hear her dangerous song; though I was afraid of wrecking on the rocks of truth, this hypnotic melody was one I couldn't resist." As usual with Koontz's books, the characters are well developed. The entire novel takes place over 36 hours with the action being intense and thrilling throughout. Although not as captivating as some of his other books, Fear Nothing is a good read for any science fiction lover.

Summary: Very Dissaponited
Review: I am a huge fan of Dean Koontz but after reading books like Sole survivor and intensity i cant help feeling dissapointed. The characters are well developed with the main one Being Bobby who has a dog called Orson (who likes to drink beer) and his girlfriend Sascha who is also a deejay. The story is a bit too lose for my liking the story develops well with you finding out his father and the suspicious circumstances but then the story falls flat on its back. I would read this book again as i am a huge fan of Dean Koontz and own nearly all his books, but it wouldn't be the first on my list

Review: This is an awesome book. I really enjoyed it and the book easy to read and understand. This is truly a page turner and you won't be disappointed by reading this book. The second book about Snow, Seize the Night, is also a must read.

Summary: Attack of the killer monkeys!!!!
Review: It may seem really dumb and extremely absurd but that's what the book is really about- a bunch of killer monkeys. Of course they've been genetically enhanced- along with cats dogs and humans- to be smarter than any creature on earth. And many of them are ruthless killers. But for some reason they wont touch the main character, Chris Snow. Although that is because of who is mother was...... but who was his mother? As usual Koontz gives us a cast of awesome characters-- Chris Snow, who could be considered to be "allergic" to light, laid back surfer dude Bobby, health nut DJ, Sasha, who also happens to be Chris' girlfriend, and Chris' cool, smart dog, Orson. Overall this is a great book and I would highly reccomend it!

Summary: Detective style mixed with science fiction
Review: Let me begin with the best aspect of this novel, the characters: Koontz is a genius at creating characters. There are four main characters in this book, the hero being a victim of Xeroderma pigmentosum, a skin disease that limits his life to total darkness. This causes the action to take place mostly during the night - over the course of two nights exactly. I can't say that this is a fast paced story because the actions stops very often when the author pauses to engage in recalls from the past. He had a good plot for this book, but it is actually based on a previous novel titled 'Watchers'. This is not exactly a sequel, but you will find some reference in it to Watchers. There is a dog here too, quite similiar to the dog in Watchers. Koontz has a vivid imagination which proves quite interesting when celebrating the end of the world - figuratively speaking. Another point I would like to make is that you cannot read this book without reading 'Seize the Night' because the story continues. 'Fear Nothing' is simply an introductory novel to the real action packed book 'Seize the Night'. This one is quite wordy too, which can be annoying when you're in the middle of a spine-chilling moment.

Summary: Fear EVERYTHING!
Review: From page 1 to page 432, you'll be addicted to Dean Koontz's Fear Nothing. I literally had to turn on all the lights in my house. I was absolutely terrified! Every page is just crisp writing that flows from sentence to sentence. The action is incredible and you can picture it all with Koontz's cleverly descriptive writing.
