Summary: Maybe he tried too hard to sequel "Watchers"
Review: A very good read, but it was easy to spot story lines from other Koontz novels and (disturbingly) a term that was associated with Stephen King's "The Tommyknockers" ("becoming"). Putting those minor flaws aside, Koontz has created a very good book. "Fear Nothing" feeds you enough information to keep you wanting to read, unlike "Sole Survivor", where everthing is explained at the end. All in all, I would recommend it to anyone.

Summary: Snowman had nothing to conquer
Review: If you have read any of Dean Koontz's books you will notice that the main character will win the day if they conquer their fear. In this story Chris Snow suffered from a disease that made him stay inside. He could only go out at night. The entire story except for the very beginning took place in one evening. At night! Chris Snow ruled the night. What was there to fear? What would have made this a truly excellent book is if Mr. Koontz would have put us more into Chris Snow's life and actually had to feel what it is like to wear tons of clothing, sun screen, hats, classes, etc in a warm climate, because the sun would in essence kill him. Then force Chris Snow to fight the bad guys not on his turf, the night, but on theirs, the day. That would have put a lot of suspense into this story which in this version was lacking. As always, Mr. Koontz is a excellent writer, good flow with the story, but this one was not entertaining. Chris Snow had nothing to loose fighting at night, when had he had to fight during the day - his life would have been on the line every second the sun beat down upon him. If Mr. Koontz should read this, may I suggest you relax. You've put out four books that I know of in two years. Take a vacation your fans are not going anywhere. Then give us another good one like, Shattered, The Face of Fear or Voices in the Night.

Summary: What was this about?
Review: I was so in shock at how dissapointing this book was. i think they praised this book to much for its own good. There is clearly a resemblence between this and watchers. If dean Koontz wanted to make a series using the same characters, he should have stayed with watcher. I'm telling you don't waste your money on this hard cover.

Summary: Another "Koontz Klassic" You can't put this one down-either!
Review: Once again, Dean Koontz delivers a variety of characters with whom anyone can relate to. Christopher Snow is a man to be guarded & loved by those who read about him-Don't forget Orson!!! This is one that will be up there with Mr. Murder, The Bad Place & Intensity!!!!!! P.S. Are his characters becoming more real in the descriptions now-than ever before?????? I have a feeling his best is yet to come!:)

Summary: I'm sorry this was not his best
Review: I love Dean Koontz's novels. I have found that he rarely uses that same central theme in his story as other authors: Example Jack Higgins (great writer) but how many stories deal with a document in a briefcase , in a plane at the bottom of the ocean and it's revealing will be catstrphophic to the world? Too many. But this book by Mr. Koontz has Watchers blended in with the Island of Dr Moreau. I can't place my finger on it, but the suspense seemed forced. "You need to know...." a couple pages later. "You need to know..." again , but that was it. This is unlike his other stories where the suspense seems to flow with the pages and the events. He seemed to have created them. Sorry, not that good. But hey, I did spend the money and bought it. I'll always read his material unless it become redundant.

Summary: Not his best but definitely recommend.
Review: I am a huge Dean Koontz fan (how many of you can claim to have read the Ramsland biography?). But I must say this book was a disappointment to me. It doesn't come close to "Watchers" and compared to his most recent books, particularly "Sole Survivor" and "Dark Rivers of the Heart" the book is sub-par. This book feels forced. The dialogue is often unbelievable, especially between Snow and Bobby. And much of the time I felt the writer was simply vamping (I don't care to know every single herb in Sasha's garden). All this said, however, Koontz is such a superb story teller that even with this lesser work he is head and shoulders above anyone else writing in the genre. I would still recommend it.

Summary: Boo, hiss, no good!
Review: Very disappointing. Not even in the same ballpark as Watchers. Or DROTH.

Summary: another great koontz book
Review: dean koontz has done it again. interesting characters (however you want to take that), interesting plot, couldn't put the book down! dean is THE man always.

Summary: Another winner from the king.......
Review: Mr. Koontz has done it again. Although not his scariest book to date, he has raised his prose to a new level with more characters we empathize with, and plot development that keeps the pages turning. It's as if he took the cast of "Planet of the Apes" and turned them into a street gang. I'm just disappointed that we Koontz fans will have to wait another year for the next one.

Summary: Fear Nothing, then Fear Everything
Review: This was my first Koontz novel, and I must say that it did frighten me. When you are first reading it, you will be saying to yourself, "what is going on? Why are these strange things happening? What kind of a person could do this?" After learning the answer, you will fear for the photo-sensitive hero. You will know how close he came to death, and be truly afraid to venture out at night.
