Rating: Summary: Best characters of any DK book! Review: I had read Koontz before (Demon Seed, Whispers) but was only slightly impressed. The characters in this book were as realistic as any I've ever read. The book is more Sci-fi than horror. It is spooky first turning to action. I've already read the sequel "Sieze the Night", and I hope for more.
Rating: Summary: well paced book with a dissappointing ending. Review: the book was well paced and had good suspense, typical of Koontz's style. the ending however, was a let down as he intends to have a sequil to the book and so is concentrating on making money rather than delivering what his fans have come to expect.
Rating: Summary: way way too wordy! One fact shouldn't take 10 pages! Review: Difficult to get through this book. He strays away from the subject in every chapter. His strays take up to 10 pages at a time.
Rating: Summary: ZZZZZZZZZ Review: I've read many of Mr. Koontz's previous books and this one is a real letdown. Way too slow and really never goes anywhere. Especially frustrating is to find out that this is nothing more than a prelude to the next installment. I really don't care what happens to these so-called "real" characters. The author at the end of the book says he plans to spend "years" with these people. That's ok because it will give me a chance to read some other authors until Mr. Koontz gets them out of his system.
Rating: Summary: Can it get any better? Review: This is the fourth, and by far the best, book I've read from Koontz. The characters are so "awesomely" real and so likeable that I wished I could jump into the book and drink a Corona with Chris. I don't care what any other "reviewers" say about this book. Books are meant to entertain and arrest the senses - nothing else. Fear Nothing goes beyond this standard in immeasurable bounds. It is a book to be read and read and read again. Koontz promises a sequel at the end. I finished Fear Nothing tonight. I will buy Seize the Night tomorrow.
Rating: Summary: Outstanding audio book! Review: This audio was really great. Keith IS Christopher Snow. And I love the story--Koontz at his best here. I can't wait to listen to Seize the Night!
Rating: Summary: Can you say, "Stinks like do-do"? Review: I didn't much care for this one. It took over half the book for the plot to really kick in and nothing exciting happened until the last 50 pages. Even then, the "excitement" was pathetic and sad. I'm somewhat intrigued to find out what happens next in the story. However, I don't think I can stand to read another 400+ pages on a 12 year old reading level.
Rating: Summary: Great thriller Review: Dean Koonts does it agian, writing an amazing book with great characters and wonderful mental images, he describes the area of fort wyvern very well the only thing it lacked was a conclusion wich I now understand is what Seize The Night Is for, anyone interested in a great read should check this book out
Rating: Summary: its great w/ a whole lot of supsense Review: i read this book faster than any book ive ever read, it was a great read. and i am tryin to decide if i want to buy the seize the night or not. b/c chris snow is one of the best characters i have "met".
Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK WAS A TRULY AWESOME READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: I like this book mainly because of the character structure. Chris,Sasha and Bobby were very strong characters. Koontz has an amazing ability to develope characters. The rhesus monkeys show Koontz's wild imagination. I liked the final showdown with the monkeys also. where the mystery was solved but it still left the plot open for a sequal.I loved this book!
