Summary: Don't waste your time
Review: I read 1200 words a minute so the only good thing about this book is that I got through the pain of reading it very quickly. This was not the Koontz I know and I will not take the risk again of buying another

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Dark mystery that keeps you reading.
Review: The premise is a bit thin, but the story moves swiftly and kept me on the edge.

Summary: Totally Boring!!!!!!!!
Review: You can't compare this book with Watchers, simply because Watchers is a great book, and this one is awful!! Very wordy, too much detail (as usual), I could not get into this book. No more Dean Koontz books for me.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Classic, Refreshing Koontz
Review: Fear Nothing, like most of Koontz's books, is a relaxing, easy read. The characters were likable and the plot intriguing. This book was definitely a page turner. Don't pick it up unless you plan to spend all of your free time reading for the next couple of days until you turn the last page.

Summary: I'm still waiting for the "Daylights to be scared out of me"
Review: I was given this book by a coworker, who highly recommended it. I kept reading to the end, in hopes of finding what she found so thrilling in it. I was very disappointed, to say the least. I did find the humor given to Christopher Snow, made the book more enjoyable, along with his view of his limitations, enlightening. I was left feeling two days of my time lost in reading too many boring, monotonous details. The author could have left out over half the details, cut to the chase, and written half the book, and MAYBE, it would have been more enjoyable.

Summary: A pleasant escape from reality, or is it?
Review: Dean Koontz has written yet another mystery novel that keeps the reader on the edge of his/her seat until the very last page has been read. Fear Nothing is the story of Christopher Snow and the life that he lives in the darkness of the night. Born with a rare genetic disorder that leaves him dangerously vulnerable to light, Christopher embraces the night like no one else does. The night that Christopher uncovers the secrets of Moonlight Bay, his home since birth, becomes the night that he re-evaluates all of his beliefs and views of the world altogether. The use of suspense and mystery on every page keeps the readers from wanting to put this book down. The unexpected twists and turns of the story are predominant in Koontz's novels. He constantly gives the reader something startling to think about before giving away the ending. The descriptions and use of imagery make the reader visualize the events of the story. Everything that happens during the time that Chris roams the night is so vividly depicted that the reader often wonders if these things could truly happen. Koontz uses a dark and almost tragic tone throughout the story. "The end of the world is here, at least the world as we now it to be," Koontz writes. These kinds of comments spoken by the characters of this mystery novel create this pessimistic attitude. On the other hand, faced with this problem of a possible Armageddon, Chris remains somewhat optimistic, or at least he doesn't go into despair. Another technique that Koontz uses is leaving the ending open for sequels. The end of the story is somewhat complete but there is always the possibility of more. In one of his previous novels, Icebound, he uses the same concept. The theme of this particular novel is undoubtedly live your life to its fullest no matter what problems life deals you. The fact that Chris lives with somewhat of a handicap does not stop him from leading as much of a normal life as possible and being content. He has his friends and his family and the night has become a companion. He refused to let his limitation control his happiness and is determined to overcome all obstacles that are put in front of him. Overall Koontz's use of a dark tone and graphic details have created an outstanding novel that allows the mind to wonder about unnatural occurrences and beings becoming reality. His theme of not letting the world getting you down rings true to the heart and remains in the reader's thoughts long after they finish the story. The unpredictable story line is truly enjoyable and amusing. I would recommend this book to readers who like suspenseful page-turners about abnormal mysteries.

Summary: This book was an awesome one to read!!!!
Review: Well, finally I finished this thriller. It had me on the edge of my seat for most of the book. I especially liked reading parts envolving Bobby, because of his free-spirited way of living with no worries. Koontz really hit the top here. Way to go!

Summary: Adventurous at the beggining, and then a slow paced climax!
Review: This book was very disappointing! It lacked intensity, and could've had a better storyline. It took you so high in the beggining, that you had no place left to go but down. Very bad first impression!

Summary: Riveting and compelling thriller
Review: I thought that this book was a great page turner. It was suspenseful yet not super scary. Also it is a book that my sister(15) and me (18) really enjoyed. My mom(45) and my grandmother (70) also really liked it. I would recommend this to anyone who gets needs to find genuine interest in a book to hold your attension. This book is definitely for all ages.

Summary: Not up to par
Review: I am a big fan of Koontz's but this book failed me on several points: the plot is pretty simple, and there is way too much casual conversation that has nothing to do with the story; it's too short (see point #1); and, why did the main character have to have such a weird disease (and will probably die young). Reminded me a lot of Iceburg (I think that's the name). It seemed like a "crank it out" type story, as opposed to Intensity and Dark Rivers of the Heart where he literally shone.
