Rating: Summary: A gripping book! Review: Fear nothing was an excellent book, which I loved. It provided an insight into the world of Chris Snow and the problems he had to face having XP. I liked the fact that this book is very realistic in terms of genetic enginering,as believe it or not we are not that far away from modified animals/people! On that note all I can say is look out for the monkey troop the next time you're at Sainsbury's! I would strongly advise all of Koontz's fans and new readers alike to pick this book up. Get stuck in to the 'Master of Fear's' best yet.
Rating: Summary: The worst koontz book of all time Review: I love deans books, but this one is so boring, I really found it hard to finish it and it was not memorable
Rating: Summary: Gripping look at the constant battles within ones self. Review: Dean Koontz, a formidable writer when compared to Stephen King and the like has released another great book. In this tale of mystery, confusion and mental inner battles, Dean has taken the reader through a roller coaster of feelings, thoughts and an adventure that few experience. Put aside the suspense appeal and the mystery of Moonlight Bay and take a look at the importance of Christopher Snow. There is a little (if not alot) of Christopher in each and every one of us. Put yourself in the shoes of the main character, and you will soon realize the appeal of the novel. Also, Mr. Koontz's writing style is a true work of art. His sentences flow with metaphors, similies and accute observations which enrich the content exponentially. This is a must read for any suspense/thriller readers, or for the ones who like twisted plots of deception and murder. Koontz will keep you flipping pages in the early hours of the morning.
Rating: Summary: Every situation is contrived Review: While I loved INTENSITY, the premise of this one did not ring very true. I didn't feel like even Koontz felt much for his main character. The character's disorder felt like it was contrived so that Koontz could keep the action after dark. Every "twist" in the plot felt manipulated, and the dialogue (especially between Snow and his surfer friend) was horrible.Read INTENSITY. Then move on to other authors.
Rating: Summary: excellent: waiting for more Review: This book kept me glued to the pages. I usually read at night so this book was making me constantly looking at the windows looking for the monkeys that are in the book. I am currently reading the next book that follows the Christopher Snow series: Seize the Night. I wrote to Koontz and he wrote me back telling me about a few new novels that will be releasing in the new year. Also, his signature is actually his and is written in actual ink! Better than King. Koontz also writes under 4 different names. I'll get back to you on the other names.
Rating: Summary: Too Poetic. Review: The story is a good one but in my opinion it is Koontz's worst title. Paragraph after paragraph of lengthly descriptions that beat around the bush. It makes me think that he was trying too hard to be poetic. The situations are described so different than his previous work that I wonder if he wrote this entire book on his own.
Rating: Summary: Fear Nothing Review: Fear Nothing was a great suspence novel because Koontz kept putting the lead character Chritopher Snow in unusual situations. I found myself thinking many times, "what is this guy thinking and why is he snooping around like this". I suppose Dean has to put things like that in the books to keep up the suspense. Over all I enjoyed Fear Nothing, but if you have never read Koontz before I reccomend Intensity or Watchers before Fear Nothing.
Rating: Summary: Koontz's best yet! Review: This was the fourth of Koontz's books that I have read, and was one of the most enjoyable. He combines a thrilling tale with an 'against the odds' plot. Unlike other writters in the thriller/horror genre, he concentrates on character development and not just the blood and manadotory 'blood fest'. This book would be #1 on my Christmas list!
Rating: Summary: Fear Nothing was an excellent book. Review: Christopher Snow, the main character, has a rare disease that won't allow him to be near any UV rays. His mother tried to find a cure for the disease while working for the military. She tested it on monkeys. She did other experiments on monkeys, also. She tried to make the monkeys smarter. She tried to make them as smart as humans. It did work, but the monkeys also became easily angered. Christopher also found out about the deaths of his parents. He found out that someone was behind them. He finds out a lot of things about his past, even his dog, Orson. This was just such an awesome book and I am looking forward to finishing the sequel, Seize the Night.
Rating: Summary: Best Ever! Review: I personally loved this book, this is my all time favorite book by Koontz, and I can't wait to get my hands on the sequel. This is a must read book! This book is about Chris Snow, who has fought an amazing life threatening disease, and now is witness to a murder in the night. Follow him and his friends to solve this mystery. Please feel free to contact me, Jenn.
