Summary: Good strory plot, but what is next?
Review: I'm just wondering if I have to wait another 4 to 5 years for the sequel, which after reading the book I feel there must be one. As always I couldn't put the book down. Don't lose interest in the series.....it's Great!

Summary: CONSTANT READER LOVED IT VERY MUCH
Review: BEING A CONSTANT READER ....... I OFTEN WONDERED IF I WOULD LIVE TO SEE THE BOOK. I'M AM GLAD I DID. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT. I THANK THE YOUNG LADY THAT NAGGED HIM MOST EFFECTIVELY

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Easily the best in the series
Review: After leaving Dark Tower readers in a cliffhanger with The Waste Lands, Stephen King finally releases Wizard and Glass, which surprised me because the story Roland tells of his youth is more fascinating than the continuing quest in the first three books, and could have been published as a stand-alone novel. The 10 I present this book is for the flashback alone. However, the beginning and ending of Wizard and Glass, which picks up where The Waste Lands left off, were disappointing. Escaping Blaine the Mono turned out to be too simplistic (and used too many pages) in its resolution, and wasn't worth the six year wait. It could've easily been tacked on to the end of The Waste Lands. The "Wizard of Oz" bit was silly and out of place in context with the rest of the book. And speaking of out of place, why is Randall Flagg in the book? The reason I enjoy the Dark Tower series so much is because it's not typical Stephen King fare. If I want to see Flagg, I'll re-read The Stand or The Eyes of The Dragon. Despite these flaws, I'll continue to read this intriguing series as it is published.

Summary: 1991 WAS A GOOD YEAR!
Review: I said it before, and one more time will I say it. 1991 two great novels flagged my attention. Both by a writer that we all ONCE loved to read. Needful Things and The Waste Lands were published in '91, and every novel since then has been an extreme disappointment! King went through a terrifying transformation and became a regular dull person. I bought this particular novel the day it slid into bookstores. I was eager and willing to wade through another 700 page King novel, especially because it was of the Dark Tower series and the previous three I gave high ratings. I was engrossed all the way up to the point of which he discussed his teacher and mistress Susan. I only continued through the novel because I wished to find out what the large glass tower in the city the travellers had journeyed toward. I gave this one a 5 rating, and perhaps that is a little generous of me.

Summary: DT4: Great characters, compelling story, bad ending.
Review: Before buying the book, I've read several reviews here saying that Part 2 and 3 of Wizard and Glass were boring. I disagree now that I have read the book, even if I'm not too thrilled by love stories. I think the flashback was necessary, we had to know about Roland's past. Part 3 is absolutely the best one, the charcaters are very well developped (especially Cuthbert, Susan, Jonas, Rhea and...Roland of course). The final showdown at the end of Part 3 is astonishing, it blew my head! Hile! To me gunslingers! The ending (Part 4) is major let down. I really didn't like the parallel with the Wizard of Oz story. The explanation about Maerlyn and Roland's mother was nice, but it could have been better. Anyway, I hope we won't have to wait another eternity to see DT5. I'm wondering if the action will take place in New York...

Summary: By far the best book in the series.
Review: I know a lot of people are complaining about the length and the wait we all had to endure for King's Wizard & Glass. The wait was long, but the story definitely delivered in many ways I hadn't expected from an author like King. If you've ever been in love and known what a struggle it is-this is a story you will embrace and cherish. It is terrifying for all the reasons you wouldn't expect. Mainly, because you feel fate tugging at Roland and Susan and you think back to your own life and your personal battles against fate. This is a battle you desperately want them to win. Anyone who has loved will tell you that if anything, this story is way too short because in your heart you know the ending but you read on anyway. Without a doubt this is one of the most beautiful and touching stories I've read in a long time, and I love the way King forces you to become his main characters. If it took five years to produce this-I'm definitely willing to wait again. My only beef is that the ending should probably has stopped with Roland and Susan. The Wizard of OZ thing was okay but it was no where near as terrifying and apocalyptic as Blaine the Mono was at the end of Book Three. This stories strength is the way King nurtures the love from there first meeting to their last and his masterful use of subtle yet brilliant plot twists. Hats off to you Stephen for taking the time to get it right instead of just rushing and throwing something lackluster together. All the lovers of the world-tragic and blessed-appreciate the effort. Keep up the good work, but I doubt you'll be able to top this one.

Summary: Another winner from Stephen King.
Review: Yet again Stephen King succeeds in taking us on a journey through the harsh world of the Dark Tower, I found this book grabbed me even faster than previous Dark Tower novels. Stephen King is simply the best writer ever!!

Summary: So......we have another 1/2 porn story.....come on sk!!!!
Review: I really enjoyed the other DTS books...so when this one came out, I bought it right away. The way he tied W&G in with "The Stand" was amazing.......but how can he stoop to the level of writers trying to please the public??? It's no doubt that "sex" books are selling now, so when I read the detailed descriptions of Roland and Susan's passion, I was almost outraged at SK. I have often urged my school-mates to read his DT books, but I have not uttered a single word about this one to anyone....exept for maybe "W&G just wasn't as good".......come on SK....don't try to be like those little porn freak authors....be the daring and diffrent SK that we all love.

Summary: Great! Slow, but Great!
Review: Excellent book, but it bogs down in the middle. King should stick to what he knows best, and leave the romance to Louis L'Amour.
