Summary: a love story that haunted me for weeks after the finish!
Review: after waiting 5 years, i'd hv to say it was worth it. Dark Tower IV is KING beyond his best. I always knew there was a lot to be told of Roland and now we know. Thanks Mr. King!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Loved the continuing, imaginative story
Review: It must be hard to be Stephen King and face the automatic criticism that will come no matter what. I thought this book was great; I will be first in line for volume 5.

Summary: aN EXCELLENT BOOK, LEAVES YOU WANTING MORE, MORE, MORE
Review: THIS IS THE LONG-AWAITED NOVEL THAT ANSWERS MANY QUESTIONS ABOUT ROLAND OF GILEAD'S YOUTH. AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, ABOUT ROLAND'S FIRST VISION AND START FOR THE QUEST OF THE MYSTERIOUS DARK TOWER. HOWEVER IT DOESN'T MOVE THE KA-TET MUCH FURTHER ALONG TO THIER DESTINATION. THIS ONLY DRAWS THE ANTICIPATION FOR THE NEXT NOVEL IN THE SERIES. THAT OF WHICH I, ALONG WITH ALL THE OTHER AVID TOWER READERS CAN ONLY HOPE COMES SOON. ALL IN ALL AN EXCELLENT BOOK, IN AN EXCELLENT SERIES OF NOVELS, THAT I RECOMMEND TO ANYONE THIRSTY OF A GOOD TALE IN THE QUEST OF RIGHT AND HONOR.

Summary: Worst of the dark tower- books.
Review: There is some good parts in this book, but mostly it's VERY boring. Lovestory between Roland and Susan is the worst part; I havent ever read anything that boring and irritating. I hope that next book is much better.

Summary: An imaginative piece. True to King's spirit.
Review: Stephen King is an imaginative writer whose books make people think. His writing has changed over the years, but I think, true to his heart, this book is his masterpiece. It comes from the heart, and is more than just a literary work. It is his child. Speaking as one person, this book gave me great gratification. King's works have been a source of needed escape from the mundane reality of real life. Thank you Mr. King

Summary: Excellent
Review: This book was King's best so far. I can see why it took him so long to get into the right frame of mind to write it, and it was worth the wait. Keep'em coming.

Summary: This book was excellent
Review: If you like Stephen King books you will definitely like this book. I am a first time reader of the dark tower trilogy and let me tell you i am very imptressed at the work that he did on this book. My favorite part was the end, seeing if you have read the stand you should know who the character is. If you like King's work this is a must read

Summary: Too long but worth finishing
Review: I can't agree that this is as great as everyone else says. It's too long. But except for that, it really is a great book. The description of teen-age love is very nice, and you'll never gues it's from a horror writer. The only absurd thing (other than the length) is Susan's final words. That's unbelievable, and I had to laugh at that hard. No girl, I believe, will say that under such circumstances.

Still, this is an excellent book. The DT series exploit King's talents to the full, which is a good thing.

Summary: I hope I die before the next one&judging from history I will
Review: Unfortunatly, I was sucked into this retched *trilogy* by the author's name. Worse yet, I cannot put down garbage like this once I have started. (Yes, I am compulsive-obsessive) The first three books in this series were far fetched and not very well written, but at least the plot was slightly interesting. I was livid when I got to the end of the third book and it just stopped. It seems to me there are better ways to pay for that new house than to put out a book that is still in progress! I waited...for a *very* long time for this book. I was disgusted!!! It is poorly written, with a sloshy plot that is beyond the realm of sci-fi, meandering into blithering, unbelievable rantings. It explores nothing. It brings up no interesting concepts or ideas. I was ill by the time I finished it! I do want to thank Mr. king for finally curing me of my incessant need to finish a series even if it is trash though. I will not read the next book.

Summary: The Search Postponed
Review: In this installment of the Dark Tower Epic, we take a moment to look into the past of the epic's main character.

I must say that at first I was annoyed at the step away from Roland's search for the Dark Tower, but as I read further and further into his past I began to hate the "Present Day" interludes that showed up from time to time.

Though I found this book a little hard to read in the beginning, the story was so beautifully woven that I soon found myself unable to stop reading it. Anyone who thinks that this book is a waste of time should (if they haven't already) read the other three books, as this one would be COMPLETELY meaningless without all the references to Roland's past in the previous three.

All in all, another excellent addition to the series.
