Summary: One of his best!
Review: Congratulations Mr. King, this was a superb book! I can't tell you how moved I was by the character of Susan, I have never been so touched by a character in a book, save for "The Body" and that was over 10 years ago. I am anxiously awaiting the rest of the series, keep up the great work! -Erin

Summary: Excellent Choice
Review: I am by no means, an "avid reader". I actually hated to read. A close friend of mine directed my attention toward a book that he had recently completed (The Gunslinger) about 6 months ago. Within a few chapters, I was totally absorbed into the book. I have now finished all 4 of the Dark Tower novels, and I'm continuing to read. King's Dark Tower series has had a positive affect on my reading habits, I now enjoy it, and for this commend him. I recommend this book to everyone. Thanks Stephen, and keep up the great writing.

Summary: Great Job, Mr. King!!
Review: I have read all of the Dark Tower series, and I eagerly anticipated the fourth installment. I was surprised by the 400 page flashback to Roland's past, but it added a nice flavor to the story. I was very impressed with Mr. King's tone during that section. He really did a great job of describing the emotions felt by all. I feel that he described the flashback as if he had lived it. I was deeply disturbed by Susan's death, and felt as though she was a close friend of mine. To me that is what being a phenomenal author is all about. Thank you for the fourth installment, Mr. King. Hurry with the next.

Summary: Left hanging again
Review: In King's typical fashion, the book was fast reading. The book leaves you hanging once again, waiting for whats next. The book fills in some background on the gun slinger but does not move the over-all story forward very much. I am hoping that I will not have to wait as long for the next book in the series as I have for the last two.

Summary: The book I didn't think King could write.
Review: This book is a love story, with actual, developed characters, and actually has extended periods that don't involve death, blood, and demons. It shows that King can actually write a story, not just build suspense. The people who didn't like this story are the blood-n-guts junkies who were the unsuspecting victims of a piece of real literature. I have heard Stephen King say in interviews that he couldn't write anything that wasn't horror. This book is proof that he is advancing from a sensationalist into a real author. While King is unbeatable as a suspense writer, his previous books had very few original characters that weren't monsters. Wizard and Glass is by far the best installment of the Dark Tower series, which has not been his best work until this point. I am very anxious to read the next book.

Also, Mr. King, you are putting out several books a year, PLEASE, take the time to finish up this series, I can't wait another 10 years to find out how it turns out.

Summary: It was disappointing till the very end.
Review: This was a long wait for nothing. King certainly could have stayed with the tower theme and not introduce Roland's boring romance past. It was 400 pages of boredom. The book was not bad but it was surely not his best. But I will still eagerly anticapate his next book in the series

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Not for new readers, This is for KING fanatics.
Review: I nearly threw down the first installment of this series of books. I look for value for money from Mr King, but here I'm not so sure that's all that evident (I've read ALL of his stuff). Still, I'm hooked, so there BETTER be a follow up to Wizard & Glass.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Pretty Incredible Stuff
Review: King writes about love, deciet, loss of innocence, and the nature of the human heart, areas he has not explored so thoroughly as in this recent Dark Tower installment. I think King was working out some issues throught the medium of this novel, and he made me feel every last emotion that his characters felt, especially Susan. Although this may not be the next gunslinger installment we all wanted to read, it was the next logical step in King's mental process. Hopefully King will let us enter Roland's world once again in the immediate future. It's a fun place to hang out for a few hours.
