Summary: Fascinating
Review: After a month of commutes listening every morning and evening to Frank Muller's gunslinger rasp, I finally gave up and brought the last part of this tale into the house to listen. Roland's world is fasinating. The now drawn "three" are such deeply sympathetic characters that one cannot hope that they will (get better Mr. King!) live forever. The flashback that makes up much of this book is pure romantic western. For those who have read the previous books and heard reference to Cuthbert and Alaan, you must meet them. They are wonderfully drawn and great counterpoint to Roland. If you have loved this tale so far, there is nothing to disapoint here and everything to amuse and amaze.

Review: I couldn't put this book down. It was the first book I read in the series, and have since purchased the rest. The twists and turns are sometimes predictable but some are an absolute shock.

Summary: Wizard and Glass is the best book I've read in years.
Review: I read this while I was on vacation and I have to say, every free second I had was spent reading this. Even though the book was long overdue it was worth the wait. Wizard and Glass is one of Stephen King's best works. It is an interesting and unique mixture of fantasy, romance, action, and passion. The passion is between Roland and Susan and Roland and the Tower. The combination of the present and the past is interesting and fun to read. I thought it was cool (for lack of a better word) how he intertwined many of his other stories into Wizard and Glass. He had a place for F. L. A. G. and the Flu from The Stand and the condemned priest from Salem's Lot. To sum it up, if your a Stephen King fan this is the book you've been waiting for. I guarantee you won't be able to put it down. If Wizard and Glass had this effect on a thirteen year old boy, imagine the effect it will have on you.

Summary: Stephen King at his best!
Review: This book was indeed long, but I believe King needed the space to deliver not only Roland's history, but the cause of the search for the Dark Tower and why he chooses to put this above all else. I can't wait for the next one, even if it is 3000 pages long. No doubt I'll read it and love every page!

Summary: I wish he would've gotten on with it.
Review: Until this book, Stephen King's departure into a more intellectual realm than his other writing had me spellbound. With this story however you'd think he was Charles Dickens and being paid by the word. His attention to detail is maddening here because it goes on and on. And just when you think it's just got to come to some kind of close, his characters go to Oz for crying out loud. At this rate King has another 3000 pages to go before we get to the Dark Tower and by then we'll know the details of every meal everyone's had and every step they've taken their whole lives. I'm sure their adventures in the Tower itself will be good for 3 or 4 books too. Don't get me wrong it's not like I didn't enjoy most of the story but I wish 800 pages had led somewhere.

Summary: This is one of the best books I have ever read.
Review: Stephen King has truly outdone himself. This book is just as good as the previous ones, in terms of suspence and action, but even better in terms of writing style, and depth. Furthermore, the romance in the novel (the fulcrum of most of the bad reviews, it seems), is by no means wishy-washy, and is a necessary step in Roland's character development. Overall, this is one of King's finest works, and a must read for anybody who enjoys a great story.

Review: Being drawn into the old world where Roland found and then lost himself was amazing. All the characters are so real that you find a piece of yourself identifying with each one. An amazing tale.

Review: Only THE TESTAMENT or THE TRIUMPH AND THE GLORY can compare to Stephen King's epic WIZARD AND GLASS, the fourth book in the phenomenal Gunslinger series. It was a long wait for this one, and it couldn't possibly have lived up to everyone's expectations no matter how good it was. I think King did a great job, and hope the next one will come along soon.
