Summary: Infinite sorrow after reading Wizard and Glass
Review: Wow.This book returned to me the feelings I experienced while reading The Gunslinger - hope, fear, excitement, sorrow, anger... you name it. There's too many feelings to list them all. The character development was fantastic. I found the love story quite facinating: two young teens burn with love for each other, but fate, or "ka", hangs over their heads with deadly purpose. I wonder what "ka" really is. If the dark tower is linked with some kind of struggle between purpose and randomness in the universe, then is "ka" some kind of manifestation of the tower itself? Questions like those will keep this reader eager for book five.

Summary: Good But Worse Than Its Predecessors
Review: This is the fourth installment of Steven King's fantasy series, The Dark Tower, which follows the story of the Gunslinger Roland, the equivalent of an Arthurian knight in the world King has created, and his quest to reach the Dark Tower in order to make his world (and possibly ours) right again. This installment relates the conclusion of Roland's and his companions' confrontation with the mad monorail began in the previous installment of the series, The Wastelands, and then goes back to the earlier story of Roland's coming of age, also begun in previous installments. The conclusion of the mad monorail story is suspenseful and exciting. The continued insights into Roland's world and the connection to ours is as interesting as ever. The confrontation between Roland and the forces of Randall Flagg, the arch-villain in Steven King's classic, The Stand, is also well-done and King shows again that he is a great action writer. Unfortunately, the main part of the book, a love story between a young Roland and a fair maiden, Susan Delgado, is possibly the weakest element of the Dark Tower saga to date. Love stories are not King's strong suit. In addition, King tells us in his introduction that he began writing the story of Roland's youth while working on an earlier volume in the series but cut it out when he got stuck at a certain point. Perhaps the time between starting the story and finishing it hurt the story. On the whole, however, this is still a good book and set us up well for the concluding volume(s) which King promises are forthcoming. Therefore, I recommend reading this book despite the weakness of the love story.

Summary: A Real Adventure
Review: I've just finished reading all four of the Dark Tower series books and "what a long, strange trip it's been." I have thoroughly enjoyed the weaving of this tale. I found the analogy to the Wizard of Oz in Wizard and Glass to be exceptional and found myself softly laughing through some of it. I can only think that centuries from now, people will be reading Stephen King and calling him "brilliant." It's his imagination and ability to tell such a great story that is so awe inspriring. He never ceases to amaze me and Wizard and Glass certainly leaves one watching in anticipation for Book V.

Summary: Wizard and Glass: Stephen King does it again!
Review: This book was a long time coming, but well worth the wait. It is a well balanced novel of both romance and adventure. Stephen King writes in his notes at the end of the book that this was a difficult book for him because of the romantic aspect of the story. I feel he did a great job of integrating both the romance and suspense into an extremely tantalizing tale. This book is a real tear jerker that will have you on the edge of your seat all the way through and leave you begging for more!

Summary: I WANT MORE !
Review: After being transfixed in the adventures (and mis-adventures) of this merry little band throughout the first three installments of this tale I found this fourth part, without a doubt, the best novel of the series. Unfortunately, for me, I was totally absorbed by the tale within the tale (Roland and his friends being sent east from Gilead, Roland falling in love, the thwarting of the civil war, etc.); in fact, I was a little disapponted when this part of the story ended. C'mon mister King get part five to us ASAP.

Summary: Awaiting the next installment
Review: 'Wizard and glass' does seem to slow the story down a little but it's part of the epic tale to know Rolands past and why he's so driven to find the Tower. The first three books are indeed amazing and we've come to a point where the past must be known to keep the drive going. I'm just getting pretty anzty to read the fifth book. Hurry up Stephen, we're all waiting.

Review: What can I say Stephen King is the Best. I go to the stores and check weekly for any new novels to come out. I am waiting so patiently for another Dark Tower.....He can't just keep us hanging! Please continue with the sequel.

Summary: Disapointing Meandering Fiasco.........
Review: I loved the Gunslinger. The next two books were great also, though a bit uneven......King gets a little too bogged down with the Odetta stuff. I was so psyched for Wizard and Glass, and then I found myself bored by it. This book needs some serious editing. There is an interesting, though not great, story buried in there somewhere if we can wade through and through and through....I hate to say it, but this book was actually BORING King seems like he doesn't know where to go next with this Tower series.

Review: I loved this book so much, I couldn't put it down for hours. This is now my all time favorite book. Because of the way it ended, I can't wait till the next one comes out. I really hope King writes it soon!

Summary: Wizard & Glass: Where is the next one?
Review: I have been a huge fan of Stephan King ever since he wrote Carrie! I have read this book, as well as all of his others. This one left me wanting more! The story of Roland has held my interest since the very first book, and I am waiting in breathless anticipation for the finale!
