Summary: this book is a great read, if you don't have any taste
Review: Like everybody else likes to say, this book is a great read! Oh yeah, you bet. This vampire goes around sucking people's blood so he can live forever. And then there's some homosexual encounters that, it is said, some people find objectionable. But I haven't actually found anyone who objects to it. I think that's just one of those things people like to say to make the book sound more interesting. But like I said, it's a great read, if you like to read about vampires who suck people'as blood and then kill some animals and have some homosexual encounters that, supposedly, someone somewhere finds objectionable. A great read!! Wheee.

Review: Ms. Rice, is ture to her form in this tale of the vampiers. It is a book I found diffcult to put down. I wanted to know what was going to happen next. This book will keep you on the edge until the end.

Review: Again Anne Rice winds you completely into her characters lives. History detail was tremendous. Once leaving this book you feel as if you've known her characters and lived through time with them.

Review: This book was great, because it's new material. I've become tired of reading about Lestat in his apathy, and frankly, Vittorio is a fresh new character who is lively, but in a good way (and he doesn't whine like Lestat used to).

Review: On my personal Vampire Chronicles Appreciation Scale - with the first three books at the top and "Memnoch" at the bottom - "Vittorio" floats somewhere in the middle.While Vittorio himself is a fairly interesting character, I did not really care for Ursula. Maybe her part in the story is just too small; on the other hand, Flavius' part in "Pandora" was small too, but him I liked very much... Also, I could have done without the Angels-subplot. I hope Anne Rice manages to reduce the Religion in here future Vampire books. (But I'll probably buy them anyway ;-) )

Summary: NOT AS BAD AS HER LAST BOOKS
Review: I need to take exception to a lot of the other on-line reviews. Actually, her last books have been awful. This one is not too bad. I have no logical reason why I keep subjecting myself to Anne Rice's books. They are ungodly boring. Nevertheless I have read each one hoping that she will write a winner. Well, Vittorio, althought not the winner I've been looking for, wasn't half bad. It is actually a quick read and, at times, exciting. Her recent themes about God and how He fits into the plan of evil things, finally makes sense in this book. When will Anne do something new? How many times can she keep writing the same book and make tons of money for it? Bring back the Mummy (actually my favorite Rice read)!

Review: I have thoroughly enjoyed all of Anne Rice's past vampire books. This one just had no real thread to connect it. His love for a female vampire is just not believable. The angels he saw on the other hand were probably the best part of this book.

Review: It was lovley. I found Vittorio to keep me wanting more and more. The content was in full detail, and had incredible sequnce. The ending was a bit blunt though. How ever her introduction to angels was wonderful. Her forshadowing was subtle but gleaming. If you enjoy Anne Rice, this is absolutley one you can't miss!!!

Summary: Vitorrio's adventure through gorgeous Italy.
Review: Once Again Anne Rice has sculpted a wonderful character out of nothing I really really could relate to Vitorrio and like many others I felt immediately swept into his problem (his family's death) and his quest for revenge. It seemed very heartfelt and well worth my time reading. I do feel some parts of the book were very slow moving. Especially being the the vampire cult being fed blood. I honestly skipped over it cause it looked boring.

Summary: This book is a real disappointment.
Review: I have read all Rice books, but I don't think I'll buy another one. Vittorio is dry, draggy, boring and completely unworthy of Ms. Rice's authorship. If I wanted to read about art and history, I'd buy an art appreciation book at the university book shop. Vittorio is completely without character and uninteresting.What a disappointment from such a gifted writer. The only time she lives up to expectations anymore is when she creates a new category of monster - Witching Hour and The Mummy were outstanding - everything else lately has been boring repetition.
