Summary: Hey I liked it but it was no Lestat
Review: Well I bought it yesterday and I have been reading it, it started off good but it started to get slow. I have not finished it all the way yet I have 40 more pages, but It is good. The thing I am curious about is in the book "Pandora" she said Lestat was frozen in a church. Please return him somehow he is the ultimate vampire. He is the one that she could truly write about. Have him return or something even if it is 1 book he needs to shine his heart down upon us 1 more time

Summary: Vittorio Nice to meet you NOW go away
Review: After reading Vittorio I checked to make sure it was truely a Anne Rice novel. I enjoyed the images that were painted about Italy but I never want to read about Vittorio again. It should have been called "The boy who weeps at EVERYTHING and happens to become a vampire" Give me characters that I can have feeling for, either good or bad. I have hated and loved her other main characters so much that I feel that I know them, I don't want to know Vittorio. Shake his hand and send him away.

Summary: A bore with a good author's name.
Review: I got this thinking it would be good.After all, it's by Anne Rice. Instead of the steamy settings and cool vampires that have you drooling for more it was a story filled mostly with a whining vampire.Didn't we already get that with"Interview with the Vampire"? And that book had great characters to balance out Louis's whining. The same,sadly,can't be said for this.We miss the action we had with Lestat. Anne,get with it! I never thought I'd be saying this about a Anne Rice novel,but it stunk. Save you money for something else,because if you buy this you'll regret it big time!!!

Summary: One of the Best!!!
Review: I couldn't put this book down. I felt like she took me back in time and I was actually there watching everything happen. This book was different than her other vampire books, it was refreshing, exciting and I only wish it was longer. I want to know more about Vittorio and his vampire bride. Hopefully, we will be able to learn more about him in the future. An excellent book, especially if you haven't read any of her other vampire books.

Summary: Rich like velvet, thick like blood
Review: Once again, Ms. Rice has captured a world 5 centuries in the past effortlessly. In Vittorio the Vampire, she brings alive the artistic and religious flavor of the time while still developing a richly drawn character. Vittorio pulses with a strong Italian blood and temperment, even after he is no longer filled with the blood of a living being. As with most, if not all, of Anne's books there is a love story that borders on tragic and a spiritual encounter that is not one that would be openly discussed with a priest of that time for fear of burning. This is a must read for any die-hard Anne Rice fan and for anyone who can appreciate fine literature and art. However, a quick(!) trip to an art museum might be required to fully grasp some images.

Summary: Vittorio is a Coke addict
Review: I think Vittorio snorted too much cocaine, he hallucinates and sees angels. Just kidding. It was an pretty good book - I guess. I was going to give it three stars, but considering the fact that I finished it in two days, I decided to give it four stars. It captured my attention, and I wanted to find out how it ended. However, I did expect Vittorio to turn into a Vampire right away, so I suppose partly of what kept me reading was to find out when the hell he was going to be one of the Undead. Anyways - read it. It's short and sweet - though it's not like you really "feel" a character, like many probably have with Lestat and Louie. The character development is weaker in this one, but still readable. Enjoy.

Summary: One more grand bite of a book...
Review: And so like Rice starts her book, we meet new and wounderful vampires. These are not the familar vampires we know and love, but you can easly grow to know and love Vittorio. I have to be honest it was slow to get into.. and being a die-hard fan this is not normal, but by the end I was hooked! Anne Rice with this book has changed the thoughts of her vampires. I enjoyed the darkness and the sadness this book held. Her readers and fans can only hope of greater things to come.. It was a grand book!

Summary: Not one of her best...to say the least
Review: I have read every single one of Anne Rice's books and thoroughly enjoyed each one but this one left a lot to be desired. Her other books are filled with passion and mysticism and they have the ability to transport you into the characters' lives. This book however, did nothing of the sort. In the beginning, it seemed very promising but it then it dragged on and on. Anne was certainly descriptive and attempted to infuse passion, mystery and compassion into the story but it didn't seem to work. But, all the same, I can't wait for her next book! Please read Pandora and Armand - they are truly Anne Rice masterpieces.

Summary: WAKE UP READERS !!!!!!!!
Review: As a lover of Anne Rice and the vampire chronicles I was very offended by most of the reveiwers cynical attitudes towards this book, i'ts like they were all expecting Lestat to be in it or something when it's like hello did it not say Vittorio on the cover, in the first few paragraphs does vittorio not state that he is not going to mention any of the other vampires in this novel. Honestly havent you all noticed that Anne is changing gears after all these years, she's not the same women she was when she wrote Interview with the Vampire or the Vampire Lestsat, she has opened herself to new things that she might not have considerd 20 years ago. Really all you that are suppossedly supposed to be Anne Rice fans should really expand your horizens a little bit I mean what if Anne were to be reading these reveiws she wouldnt plop down and cry she would simply say FINE!!! i'll bring back Lestat i'll write a sequal to the Mummy but where would that get any of you, shed simply be giving you what you want instead of moving on to even greater characters than Lestat in even more intriguing places than New Orleans but if you guys really want her to be repetitive and boring fine all I have say is that I found Vittorio to be a true masterpeice and that even though it wasn't as long as the others and even though Vittorio was not a whiny little charasmatic bad boy like Lestat he was so cool, brave, and sort of nice(he's my new Knight in shining armor)the story was great and as for the angels ever consider the fact that Anne is not an athiest any more, so let's all try to put a little faith in Mrs. Rice shall we.

Summary: Not the best - but better than some
Review: Vittorio was better than Armand, which I felt needed a bit more editing. It was refreshing to read a vampire tale unrelated to Lestat. This novel was similar in style to Pandora, which I also enjoyed. Hopefully there will be a newcomer soon so that I don't get too bored waiting! More tales of Ariel, please.
