Rating: Summary: Top notch pulp fiction! Review: I friend loaned me his copy and I liked it so much I'm buying one for myself. "Jinn" rivals Harry Shannon's wickedly outrageous 2002 romp "Night of the Beast" as a slice of pure pulp fiction, the kind of stuff people don't seem to write any more. Very fast paced, far-fetched and daringly odd. Really a good one, and Delaney deserves all the success he can get just for being so darned determined to entertain us. Good for him!
Rating: Summary: Five Stars Review: Couldn' t put the book down. An incredibly fast-paced mystery/horror thriller interpersed with beautifully written passages. Not what you would expect in a novel about reincarnation and demonic possession. Delaney's writing style transports the reader into the middle of the scene. Images will stay with you for a long time.
Rating: Summary: Jinn Review: Once I started reading this fast-paced thriller, I couldn't put it down. You are immediately drawn into the story because the author makes you feel you are there breathing every breath with the characters in this novel. I feel this new author is very gifted. I haven't read such a good book for years.
Rating: Summary: Jinn is Jumpin' Review: Realistic fiction meets historic fiction with a supernatural curve thrown in for good measure. This book had me questioning what exactly IS true and what did Delaney create to produce this thriller.
Rating: Summary: Amazing Mystery Review: Jinn kept me on the edge of my seat, I couldn't put it down!! Excellent mystery, truly a must read!
Rating: Summary: Outstanding First Novel Review: Riveting! Jinn is a totally engrossing thriller/mystery from beginning to end, written by a brand new author. Highly recommend this book to all.
Rating: Summary: Should be a Film!! Review: Jinn is a genuine power punch of a novel that left me dazzled at its pace, vividly depicted scenery, and array of people. Brogan, McKenna and Jefferson are characters which jump from the pages. An original and unforgettable story which stayed with me for days afterwards, especially after dark, the only real drawback was not getting enough sleep! While the story line is quite involved, the end chapter is a final master stroke which brings everything together. I originally came across Jinn while reading about its film rights option to Touchstone some time ago and can honestly say it was well worth the wait...can't imagine it not becoming a film sometime soon, think Russell Crowe as Jefferson. Looking forward to seeing this one on the NY Times Bestseller list soon!
Rating: Summary: Great first novel from promising new author! Review: This is a great novel. I am mid-way through and totally engrossed. Be prepared to get very little sleep as you will be up till all hours reading this incredible story!
Rating: Summary: AWESOME FIRST NOVEL FROM A SOON TO BE HOUSEHOLD NAME! Review: I just read this book and let me tell you, I could not put it down. I read the whole thing in 3 days. Just an unbelievable story. I compare Delaney to Michael Crichton, who I am also a huge fan of. You will not get much sleep after getting this book because you will be up all night reading it!
Rating: Summary: JUST A FANTASTIC, QUICK-PACED NOVEL Review: Look for Mr. Delaney's second novel, because he sure hit the nail on the head with this one. Just an all-around knockout of a book. The opening is about as fast paced as you can get, then through most of the middle the book seems (incredibly) to speed up - I found myself reading about 200 pages a night! - the end is the greatest part however. Right up to the last sentence of the last paragraph of the last page I was biting my nails. First rate thriller - I give it two thumbs and 3 claws up (you'll understand once you read it).
