Rating: Summary: Really cool summary of the book, helpful for school!! Review: The book Killing Mr. Griffin by Lois Duncan is suspenseful and involves the killing of a teacher, Mr Griffin. After the kidnap took place, their plan was to scare their teacher, but some plans go wrong. The setting of this book takes place in an American town, mostly in its natural sites, like forests and waterfall surroundings. It also takes place at the Del Norte high school. There are many important characters involved in order for the conflict to take place. They are Susan, who was a looser that turned out to be the smart one in the whole group, David, a smart guy, very handsome indeed, Mike, a psychotic kid that tries to involve everyone in his evil plans, Jeff, a tall, handsome basketball player, Betsy, Jeff's girlfriend as well as a cheerleader, and last but not least, Mr. Griffin, a teacher that is too tough on his students, but in a good way. There are also many secondary characters in this book such as Susan's mother, father, twin brothers, and sister, David's grandmother and his mother, and Mr. Griffins wife, Kate Griffin. Most of these characters have something to do with the conflict of the book. The conflict is the following: The conflict takes place when the 4 students, David, Mike, Jeff, and Betsy are deciding if they kidnap their teacher or if they don't. They get all nervous and start thinking who would not seem suspicious that would be like an alibi for them, somebody that would call Mr. Griffin in for an after school meeting without being suspected. The perfect candidate was Susan, a lonely girl that only cared about studies, nothing else. After them choosing their perfect candidate came the rising events. There were three very important ones. The are the following. After them choosing Susan without her knowing, they decided it was time to ask her if she wanted to be part of their plan. They called her on a Sunday morning and David, whom she liked, told her that he would like to talk to her, privately. Susan got really excited and he agreed to meet her at her front door. When he got there he was with Mike, Jeff, and Betsy. They went out to the open into a beautiful flat land with green grass all over, and a waterfall right in front of them. They did a picnic there and they told Susan about their plan to kidnap the English teacher just to scare him. Susan agreed and they had already started planning it. Susan would ask for an after school meeting with the teacher and when they went out they would be waiting and would take him in the car to the area where they did the picnic. They realized all this, but Betsy got to the school after they had taken their teacher because she got a speeding ticket for trying to get there in time. Well, they took him up there, and decided to leave him there meanwhile they went to the basketball game. After these rising events happened came the conflict. Susan and David didn't go to the game. They decided to skip it and go check on Mr. Griffin. They did, and when they got there, guess what, they found him DEAD!!! They went running back to the game, where Mike and Jeff where playing basketball and Betsy was cheering. They got to them and told them what they had seen. At first none of the three believed them, but afterwards they knew it was true because of the expressions in their faces. They went over to the place where they had their picnic and saw him with flies all over him. Betsy was so disgusted that she went to the riverside. So, he was dead, all they could do was find a way they could not seem guilty. After the conflict came the falling events. There were many of them and you will know them now. After they came out of shock they decided they had to bury the body and get rid of all the evidence. The only piece of real evidence was the car. So they left, leaving him there, and came back the next day. When they got there they had a shovel and some hand protections. They started digging the whole near the water, because the dirt was very soft. They put him there and left. They thought that they were safe, but some very weird things happened. First of all, Kate Griffin went to Susan and asked her to tell her the story that she was saying. She told Mrs. Griffin that all the meeting, her husband was impatient and looking at his watch, and that at the end of their meeting she saw a blonde beautiful girl in his car. She told her to stop lying because she told her that 1, her husband mostly cared about his students and wouldn't be looking at his watch, and 2, that he loves her so much that he would never see another woman. Susan didn't respond anything and she was told by Mrs. Griffin that if she wanted to tell her something that she was welcome to her house with ears wide open. Something else that happened was that a girl up there in the picnic spot saw a plastic pill jar and a piece of dirt that looked as it was recently lifted. She reported this to the police. They went to look at the spot and found Mr. Griffins body underground. The police reported this in the news and that made the gang nervous. They also found that he did not have his ring on. David had taken the ring, and when his grandmother found it in his room she took it because she thought he had stolen it. After that somebody came to her and took the ring, killing her immediately. The resolution came after all this chaos. After David's grandmother was killed, Susan found out it was Mike who killed her because David's neighbor had seen a boy with a brown shirt, and Mike had one on for the past two days. Then, when they were all ready to take Mr. Griffins car to a private lot far away, they stopped over at Susan's house. Jeff and Betsy got there first, and Susan told them that she wanted to got to the cops and tell them the whole story. So they went outside and told Mike what Susan was planning on doing, and Mike went barging into the house. He told Jeff and Betsy to tie Susan with the curtains. They looked at him with a weird face but he screamed at them and they tied her. Then Mike told Jeff and Betsy to go to the car, to Jeff's car. Then mark started telling her that he knew she would chicken out. He also told her that he was going to burn her house down, at that instant, with her inside. He took out his matches and was about to put the flame on the curtains when Susan told him that this was how his father died. Then he started telling her that he had killed his father. She was in shock and asked him WHY! He told her that his father was going to send him to a Juvenile hall because he had taken his credit card and spend some money from it. So because of that reason he killed his father the best way possible. She couldn't speak. He had already turned the curtain on with the flame, when suddenly, from the back door, Kate Griffin entered with her detective. The detective took Mike to his car and turned off the fire. Kate untied Susan and waited until her parents came. When they did, she went up to her room and didn't see anyone until her mother went into her room in the morning the next day. Her mother told Susan why suddenly Kate appeared. It was because they were off to ask Susan a few questions, and when they were there, she recognized her husbands car, and thought something wrong was going on. And Susan's mother also told her that Mike was put in jail for 10 years because he was classified as a psychotic kid, and they declared he had first degree murder. Jeff, Betsy, and David were charged with second degree murder. And Susan was charged with third degree murder because she was not in the scene of the actual death, she was just there before and after. She was just an accomplice not into the picture. In conclusion, everything turned out fine for everybody, because getting rid of Mike from their lives made them better people, and made them think before they acted. THE END! Now go ahead and read this wonderful book!
Rating: Summary: KIlling Mr. Griffin Review: Reviewer KaY Have you ever wanted to get revenge on a teacher because of too much homework or not enough time to study for a quiz? The book "Killing Mr. Griffin" by Lois Duncan is about five high school seniors that got their wish by getting revenge on their English teacher, Mr. Griffin. Like in other books Lois Duncan has written , "Killing Mr. Griffin" is full of mysteries and unsuspecting twists. The point that the book is trying to make is: you should not judge a person on how they act when they are in a certain place or with a certain someone. Maybe there is more to that person than they will let you see. I would recommend this book for anyone that likes mysteries, strange twists, or just likes to read. The way the book is wrtten is easy to read and understand. You can find out though this book that not everyone is how they appear and that the way something should turn out is not always the way it will end up.
Rating: Summary: Boring Review: I liked the book at the beginning......but after you find out that he dies, it gets kind of boring. I mean we already know what happened so what more is there to read. I did not like the book.

Rating: Summary: Incredible! Review: This is my favorite Lois Duncan book. I loved this book because it's a story about how peer presure can make you do things that you don't want to. Well, at least that's what I got out of it. This book is incredibly sad because these kids lives are ruined because they listened to a "friend" with a bad idea.
Rating: Summary: Pretty Good Book! Review: Killing Mr. Griffin by Lois Duncan was a pretty good book but all in all it wasn't great. It's about 5 teens that take their English teacher in the mountains to scare him but overnight he dies due to a heart condition. Then they have to hide up the whole incident. But then... Wait! I can't ruin this book for you. If you want a pretty suspenseful fast paced read, read this book. But remember it is not great or worth buying.

Rating: Summary: Review Review: This was a very good book. It kept the readers in suspense the whole book. There wasn't any part of the book that I didn't like. The ending was very shocking. I didn't expect the book to end the way it did.
Rating: Summary: Fabulouse book! Review: I thought Killing Mr. Griffin was one of the best books by Louis Duncan. Her other books are good too, but you can not put down this one, not even for a second. I really loved the twist and turns in every chapter. Also I really enjoyed the ending as well. I think in some part of the book it's very much like the book and the movie "I Know What You Did Last Summer". Especially the part that they wanted to hide the body and not tell anyone what had happened. I really felt bad for Mrs. Griffin because now she had to take care of the baby all by herself. I defiantly recommend this book to all teenagers even if they don't like to read a lot of books.
Rating: Summary: VERY GOOD... SUSPENSFUL! Review: This is a very good book! This book is well known! They didn't want to kill him, and they ended up doing so. But then a couple more people die, and who is to blame? Well Read this book to find out! Very Suspensful! You dont want to put it down for more than 2 seconds! You have to keep reading it! I also like the movie Teahcing Miss Tingle, which is a little like the book! RECCOMEND!
