Rating: Summary: Terrific Novel Review: Killing Mr. Griffin by Lois Duncan was a great book! When Jeff suggests that they kill their english teacher as a joke, it is taken seriously and the idea to kill Mr. Griffin is discovered. The book goes on to tell the story of how they kidnap Mr. Griffin, take him up to a waterfall, and leave him there for seven hours later. When they return, he is found dead, and the medicine he needed to take in case of a common angina attack was laying several feet away. It continues until the end when the story all unravels and everybody is told what happens. A great book!
Rating: Summary: Killing Mr. Griffin Review: This book was very interesting and was exciting the whole time. You never really know what is going to happen My over all opinion of this book was that it was very suspenseful. It was a book that you didn't want to put down. You wanted to keep reading to find out what happened. It was about these students that were getting tired of their English teacher so they wanted to do something about it. So they took him up to the mountains to scare him. He needed to take this certain kind of medicine but he never got it because of what they did. What do you think will happen to Mr. Griffin? What will their consequences be? This was a good book, but the beginning was slow. However it didn't make it to where I wouldn't read it again. I would recommend this book to someone that would like mysteries or thrillers.
Rating: Summary: Killing Mr. Griffin: The best book I've ever read! Review: If you want my opinion, I think that the novel "Killing Mr. Griffin" by Lois Duncan was unexspectedly thrilling. I started reading the novel in the evening and it was so gripping I couldn't stop reading. For example, in chapter eight Lois Duncan uses the cliffhanger technique, which makes you read on and on. I only stopped reading this novel because I was so tired that my eyelids dropped automatically at 5 o'clock in the morning. I also think that this novel is so thrilling because you want to know how the kids actually kill Mr. Griffin. They only talk about scaring him but you know that they will kill him, because of the title of the book. So all in all, you can say that this novel is highly recommendable.

Rating: Summary: My opinion! Review: If you want my opinion, the novel is not very interesting. There are five students, who want to take revenge on their English teacher, by scaring out of his wits, because he openly humiliates them. They actually kill him, because they don't know, that he needs those pills to survive, which one of them destroy. The novel can also said to be unrealistic, because the reason for kidnapping are not very plausible. No one kidnaps a teacher, or any other person, because of their being unfair. If we hadn't read it in our English class, I wouldn't have read it. In fact, I would have given it away after the first twenty pages.
Rating: Summary: Killing Mr. Griffin Review: Killing Mr. Griffin is probably my favorite book. This book is the type of book that keeps you on the edge of your seat. It is one of those books that are really hard to put down because it leaves you in so much suspense. It has many situations where you do not know where the story is going to go next. One reason I liked the book was because it was a really easy book to follow. I recommend anyone at any age to read this book.Killing Mr. Griffin is a suspenseful story about a group of students who really get disgusted with their teacher, Mr. Griffin. Mr. Griffin is a stubborn English teacher who always seems to give his students a hard time. The tension between him and his students just keep building up and up until the students decide to do something about it. Finally, the students decide to kidnap the teacher. To find out what happens after that then read the book.
Rating: Summary: "Killing Mr. Griffin" is really thrilling! Review: If you want my opinion,I think that "Killing Mr. Griffin" is a pretty gripping novel.I truly enjoyed reading it because it never got boring.I also read Duncan's novel "I know what you did last summer",so I wasn't relly surprised to find "KMG" is very thrilling one.But there was one thing I didn't understand: Why doesn't Mr. Griffin tell the teenagers about his disease and that he needs the pills? Is the stupid git too proud or what...?But in spite of this little shortcoming I would recommend the novel to other people, especially my age(15).
Rating: Summary: "Killing Mr. Griffin" : a great novel! Review: If you want my opinion,I think that "Killing Mr. Griffin" is a great novel.Actually,it is so thrilling and suspenseful that I couldn't put it down,I once had started reading it.I couldn't even put it down on the way to school. Thus I didn't notice the car coming when I crossed a street... I stayed two weeks in hospital because of a broken leg and several slight concussions. But it wasn't that bad,in so far as I had- finally- enough time to read the other five novels by Lois Duncan!
Rating: Summary: Earns an English teacher's high praise! Review: Yep, I teach English, and I demand a lot from my students. Should I worry that so many reviewers found the kidnap scene funny? Perhaps, but the true strength of this novel lies in its insight into the confusion and uncertainty felt by Sue and David particularly as they find themselves caught in a plot to scare a disliked teacher which soon spirals out of control. Duncan also does an excellent job of capturing Brian Griffin's dedication to his students and his reasons for being so demanding. Thus, readers are swept along with alternating sympathies, first for lonely Sue, then for the kidnapped Mr. Griffin, then for Mrs. Griffin, who knows Sue is lying about her husband's last hours, finally for David, who suffers a terrible loss himself as the story draws to a close. This is an outstanding book which will grab and hold the attention of any reader who has ever wished to exact revenge on someone in power, be it a teacher, boss, or even parent.
Rating: Summary: Killing Mr. Griffin Review: Killing Of Mr. Griffin Lois Duncan When I first stared reading this book I didn't know that it would take my mind off of everything I was doing, just the first three chapters are exciting to read. Not all books are like that to me. Lois Duncan tells how the 5 teenagers plan the killing but not all goes how they want it to go. A killing turned into something more to the kids. It started with a teacher that was mean to everybody and 5 students want to end these cruel way this teacher goes by. A teacher that wont ever take late work even if you were at a basketball game. When they are in the woods weird things happen, from when the kids put the bag over Mr. Griffin's head with the twitching from the teacher, that's the best part I like about the book. I can just picture this happing to my teacher it would make me laugh. Through out this whole book you will be astounded how Lois Duncan brings you into the book, it is really an art. By the time you find out when Mr. Griffin is dead, the book gets a little slow after that. In a way this book reminds me of Lois Duncan book " I Know What You Did Last Summer", that was a great book also. So I hope this helps you in your next choices for books to read.
