Rating: Summary: a very boring book Review: Killing mr Griffin by Lois Duncan was kind of boring but it was kind of a good book in a way because it was a mystery sort of book. In some parts of the book it gave things away. In a way the book was sort of confusing because the chapters ended with one thing and started with another.
Rating: Summary: Good Characters Review: I liked the characters in Killing Mr Griffin. They were all different and well developed. Louis Duncan has made the chacters so realistic that we can relate them back to our own life. Susan and Betsy can easily be the loner and popular girls at high school. I would reccommend this book for 10-16 year olds because they can relate to their lives and would enjoy the read.
Rating: Summary: What an interesting and twisted book! Review: I found this book very interesting. Once I got to the good parts I couldn't put the book down. The book starts off with a character named Mark wanting to play a prank on his English teacher. He ends up getting a group of students to help him. Their plan is to kidnap him and take him out to the mountains. Unfortunately their plan seems to turn wrong. Mr Griffin (English teacher) ends up accidently dying and then they end up lying to the police. I enjoyed this book greatly and I recommend it to people 11 and over. I didn't think I would enjoy the book because it is an English book but this book has changed my mind.
Rating: Summary: The Book For the slueth Review: Killing Mr Griffen is a powerful book created by Lois Duncan. All throughout the book you are given clues to what is going to happen, some being suttle but some being so easy to work out. This book is aimed for the 12 - 15 year olds. The main characters are specially made up to talk and act like they are real people. Some crucial envents in the book make the out come of the book so very unreal. The five young kids (Betsy, Jeff, Mark, David and Sue) plan revenge on their strict english teacher but when it all goes wrong the gang doesnt know how to react.
Rating: Summary: Killing Mr Griffin Review: This book by Lois Duncan is about a group of teenagers that decide to play a prank, but it goes horribly wrong. " Killing Mr Griffin" was an okay book that got boring towards the middle. I think it was written quite well but it didn't seem very believable because I doubt anyone would ever do that kind of thing. The characters were quite interesting but the ending wasn't very satisfying. It was and average book but if you like far fetched books I would reccomend this to you.
Rating: Summary: Boring Books At School Review: The book "Killing Mr. Griffin" by Lois Duncan was one of the weirdest books I have ever read. It gets very boring in the beginning with the lead up to the story. You get different views and thoughts in the different chapters that can get confusing if you dont think about twice or three times. It sort of confused the plot up a little bit. Some bits in the story give it away not much but a little. Over all I would give it 3 stars because it was all right but I didn't like it very much.
Rating: Summary: boring Books Review: I thought Killing Mr Griffin was boring after reading a few chapters. It started good but then it became a bit hard to believe that this would really happen to any teenage students. The best part of the whole book was Susans poem for the final song of Ophelia. The poem is only meaningful if you have read or seen Hamlet.the end was very far-fetched and had nothing to do with the story
Rating: Summary: Far Fetched Review: I thought killing Mr Griffin was a really far fetched book. It would have been better if it was set to something that might actually happen to teenage school kids. The part in the book though that I did like was the poem that susan wrote for the final song of Ophelia. It would help you to understand the poem if you read Hamlet first. I thought the poem was really meaningful.
Rating: Summary: Killing Mr. Griffin Review: Killing Mr. Griffin by Lois Duncan was a good story. It made me think about how people are. David took care of his grandmother everyday and seemed like he was a nice guy. Yet he still had another side to him. This side was mean and wanted to do something bad to his teacher. I think all the other kids should not do something wrong just because a cool or popular kid says that you should. I recommend this book to read.
Rating: Summary: Killing Mr. Griffin; truly the master of suspense Review: This book, about a group of high school kids who think it would be quite amusing to pull a prank on their english teacher, have a struck of bad luck..... I really enjoyed this book, it has to be one of the best books I have ever ead. Although a little "twisted" in some ways this books is a wonderful joy. I would recomend this to all readers of all ages, for it isn't so scary your going to have night mares for a week. But it's bone chilling with a touch of hunmor, and a gob of suspense. This book was very well written, and it's style pleased me very well. In one paragraph you will be hearing about a detective interviewing someone, and then in the next it will be about Mark(one of the characters in the book) coming up with another brilliant idea. So this way you are hearing two perspectives.
