Summary: Killing Mr. Griffin was a great book!!!
Review: I already made a review for this book but I am not sure if it worked. This book was a very exciting book. I am a person that does not really enjoy books that much and this book would not let me put it down. The plot was excellent and the book was so interesting it would make you want to read the next page. I hope my other review is able to be seen but if not i have made another one.

Summary: Exciting, Suspenseful, and Edgy
Review: I really liked this book. At first I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it or not. The more I kept reading it, the better the story got. The basic story of this book is about a couple of highschool students who really dislike their English teacher, Mr. Griffin. Mr. Griffin is a very strict teacher and a man of his principles. In an attempt to teach their teacher a lesson, a group of students plot their revenge. I especially enjoyed this book because of the high level of suspense and little bit of mystery mixed into it. As I read this book, I became “attached” to one of the characters. Each student that kidnaps Mr. Griffin has a different personality and one of those personalities matched that of mine. Being a highschool student myself, I was able to “get into” this book and the characters. I recommend this book to anyone who like a good edgy and suspenseful book.

Summary: Excellant book!!!
Review: Hi! This book was awesome! I was a little disappointed in the ending, but it was still very good. It has suppense, mystery, worry, and more. Throughout the whole book, you are kept in suspense and wonderment. The dialogue is very realistic, and it has a genious plot. This book is not that scary at all, so if you dont like scary books, you should still get it. If you like VERY scary books, this might be a little bit of a disappointment. I could barely manage to put the book down. It is about how a group of students get together and plan to scare their English teacher, Mr. Griffin, because they hate him. They only meant to scare him, but it turns out that... well, you'll have to read it. They have to cover their tracks and everything, leading up to the surprising, but a little disappointing, ending. Get this book!

Summary: very suprising overall
Review: Killing Mr. Griffin has become one of my many favorite Lois Duncan books, and they it may not be the best it's certainly proved to be a well worth reading time. My sister hates to read but however loves only Lois Duncan's books. This book was a definite page turner but lacked certain information so it became kind of frustarating to understand rather than mysterious. However, you'll love it anywayz so enjoy.

Summary: killing mr. griffin
Review: Killing Mr. Griffin by Lois Duncan is an interesting murder suspence novel. Lois Duncan has written several other books including Gallows Hill, Dauters of Eve, A Gift Of Magic, and I Know What You Did Last Summer, which inspired the motion picture. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat and guessing. I found it frustrating that you're never exactly sure who you should be rooting for. It is an entertaining story, but I think there should have been a little better closure at the end. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy suspense and a different kind of murder story.

Summary: Killing Mr. Griffin
Review: Lois Duncan's Killing Mr. Griffin, is a classic horror book involving high school kids and the revenge plot for their dreaded english teacher. The plot is farely unrealistic. Basically the sceme goes all wrong. The main characters include Suzan, Mark, Jeff, David, and Betsy.

Killing Mr. Griffin, is a young adult novel, thus meaning there is not a lot of depth or literarely devices used throughout the novel. This should be expected for a young adult horror novel. Young adults should like the easy reading and easy to follow material.

Duncan accurately records the thoughts of a high school misfit. She does this through Suzan, who we follow during a day at high school. Duncan also the third person omniscient, this allows the reader to get close the characters through out the book. The point of view confuses the reader as to who the main character is.

Overall, the book is perfect for a elementary students with shorter attention spands. It supplies the kids with constant action and easy reading

Summary: Killing Mr. Griffin Review
Review: The novel Killing Mr. Griffin written by Lois Duncan is an exceptional murder-mystery story. Her unique approach to writing makes this novel a winner. Duncan's descriptive and realistic writing style keeps her readers on the edge of their seats. Her story remains plausible at all times, never futuristic or impractical, making it all the more suspenseful. She packs this novel full of suspense and surprises making it one of her best. Duncan incorporates several literary devices into her work. The first is foreshadowing. Duncan cleverly places clues as to what will happen next throughout the story. For example, when the high school students bring the kidnapped Mr. Griffin to a secluded area in the mountains, they discover a bottle of nitroglycerine in his coat pocket, which alludes to his heart condition. The students fail to notice this clue, which ultimately causes Mr. Griffin's untimely death. Secondly, Duncan uses the allusion to Ophelia as a connection to Susan. Both feel alone and helpless, often contemplating death. Because of this weakness inside of Susan, she does not kill herself, but rather allows herself to become wrapped up in a murder case in order to gain acceptance and popularity. Lastly, without Duncan's use of stereotypes in this novel, readers would not be able to grasp the full reality of this story. Susan the shy lonely student, Mark the quiet but cool guy, Jeff the jock, Betsy the prom queen, and Dave the All-American model child come together in this story to form a real image of high school life. Each character has a different reaction to situations adding variety to the novel's plot. The theme of this story is simple: all are held accountable for their actions, and when bad decisions are make in haste, regret and turmoil result. This novel is a well-written wonderful novel that everyone should read!
