Rating: Summary: Finally Review: This book is like a breath of fresh air. After ready the last 3-4 books I thought Anne Rice lost her touch. Now with Pandora's release Anne Rice is back to being one of the best story tellers of our time.
Rating: Summary: GOOD BOOK, BUT NOT TERRIFIC! (AND I EXPECTED GREAT!) Review: Anne Rice has really great books, especially LESTAT and MEMNOCH, but lately, maybe, she's running out of new ideas; and I actually couldn't blame her because, come on!!!, she's written a LOT of vampire books. But now I'm writing about PANDORA, and so I will.
I must confess that when I first bought it, I expected to see Pandora's evolution, I mean, how she accepted what she is now or at least how she handles it and I wanted to know what she did after leaving Marius; but the only thing that was narrated was her life as a human (which wasn't bad at all, but that's most of the book) and why she decided to leave Marius.
I think Rice lost a big chance to make Pandora matter, because her character has the potential to trascend to be one of the big ones.
I must tell you that I liked the book, because it was ok, but just that.
If you want to really love this book, I think it would be better for you to read BLOOD AND GOLD first.
