Rating: Summary: Is about a little known vampire in her other vampire books. Review: I thought it was great! It was fast paces and easy to get through. Wonderful!!
Rating: Summary: Pandora - Different yet exciting and involved... Review: I have enjoyed most of Anne's vampire books (just look at my e-mail address) although she/the characters have become much more religiously philisophical in the themes...I think this deters from "the real" story and in some ways it interferes with character development (shorten the self-reflections done by the vampires)..."Pandora" is a return to her earlier vampire pieces without the religious tones. This was a good and quick read with quite a climactic surprise ending. Keep writing these novels Anne, but also keep adding the creative gore and sexuality - it spices up the story line...ALSO continue the accurate historical aspect of the stories - this gives the reader rich and colorful settings for the characters...When are we going to find out about Marius and his adventures after leaving Pandora???
Rating: Summary: Wonderfully Terrific Review: I thought this book was AMAZING!!! I loved every word of it. It is yet another one of Rice's, turning every page can't put down kinda books. The way she explains the old roman empire had me intrigued. I had to go out and get books on mythology. I LOVED IT!!!!
Rating: Summary: Pandora for a first will certainly not be the last! Review: I have read many authors and there is not one yet, until Anne Rice, that has seized my imagination, my dreams and my passion. Anne Rice captured Pandora's blood and put it on paper, for there is no other way Anne Rice could have written so fluently of Pandora's life events. The love and commitment of Pandora shines through the pages on which Anne's words are written. Thank you Anne for bringing the world of Vampires for me to peruse, although, now I have to find the time to start at your beginning word.
Rating: Summary: Once again Anne is a master... Review: Pandora is a must for any Anne Rice fan... She once again wrote a powerful story of love and betrayal... She is truely a master of words...
Rating: Summary: An excellent book! Review: This was the first Rice book that I read and I loved it. I could barely put it down. Some parts were a little confusing, but in general the book is well written and full of great details! I now plan to read her other books!
Rating: Summary: Simply the Best! Review: Since Mennoch this is Anne Rice's best novel on vampires yet! The characters are well written and developed, specially Pandora. The scenery, the time, the place are so well developed that it throughly conveys marvelously the esence of Pandora's personality and the reasons why she must make the choices she took during her lifetime. Marius' character is more natural and more believable than in "The Vampire Lestat" so the reader comes to suffer as much as Pandora because of their separation. I read the book in less than three days and it kept me glued to my seat every hour of them! This novel confirms why Anne Rice's fans keep growing with every new novel...
Rating: Summary: WONDERFUL ! ! ! I LOVED IT ! ! ! Review: It had been awhile since I had read Memnoch and I became totally immersed in the characters in Pandora. It was like visiting old friends. The historical aspect was amazing. This was classic Anne Rice. Can't wait for the next one. Flavius perhaps?
Rating: Summary: half way, but am spell bound Review: Through the years I have read all the all the vampires Anne Rice has written. and so far this one has keep me up late into the night reading, ( waiting for the dark trick to happen to me) well I o-most did not go to work today I was so entranced in this book. I am the next vampire for the 21st centrey
Rating: Summary: The story of Pandora was a wonderfully written work of art. Review: This novel was FANTASTISC! Ann Rice has done it again. Not since Interview With The Vampire have I read a story mixed with so much beauty and detail. One can focus more on the characters than their blood lust.
