Rating: Summary: This had to be one of the most bizarre of his that I've read Review: This book was twisted. Mr.Koontz took his readers to new untraversed levels of the mind with this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it though, as well as numerous others that I've read. I would recommend any one of his books to read.
Rating: Summary: please! forget about it! fantastic koontz thrills!! Review: I have read every book Koontz has written, and this was the one that started it all for me.I am totally hooked! He is simply incredible! This book is not only named the Bad Place it is the Bad Place. Not only taking you on the horrifying journey it wills you through it. Koontz is a very human writer even when the characters dont seem to be. As I said this was the first and it certainly wont be the last!
Rating: Summary: So real! I thought that I was living the story myself! Review: This was the book that got me hooked on Dean Koontz! The places and the plot were so easy to imagine I actually felt that I was one of the characters. I first read this book on a vacaton & I ignored most of my plans on the trip to finish The Bad Place. After reading this book, I read 10 of Koontz's other books and even stood in line at one of his book signings for over 3 1/2 hours to get his autograph on my ragged copy of The Bad Place. Buy this book! You will not be disappointed!
Rating: Summary: Keeps you entertained the whole way through Review: The Bad Place kept me reading quickly to find out what was going to happen next. There were so many twists to the plot it was great. I was constantly entertained.
Rating: Summary: ***AWESOME*** Review: I have read many of Mr. Koontz' books. I like most of them. But...I totally loved this one. If you haven't read him before, you'll be hooked.
Rating: Summary: Koontz proves that he is the most talented writer out there Review: I like Dean Koontz mopre than Stephen King. Why? Koontz simply has a better style of writing. Instead of trying to shock, like King does, Koontz has a whimsical, likable, unpretentious style - rarely a curse word. Yet his books are scary. The Bad Place is wonderful, one of the accomplished author's best, a tour-de-force with realistically drawn characters and believable dialogue. And while I was a little dissapointed by the revelation at the end, the climax was unmeasurably exciting. If you've never read a Koontz book before, this is a good one to start with.
Rating: Summary: Has everything you could possilbly want. Review: This book has everything. Science fiction, romance, humor and great writing. Having read all of Deans Koontz' books I can put this one at the top of my list (along with Watchers). Takes a little getting into but is well worth the effort.
Rating: Summary: My first Koontz book. It made me cry, Koontz!!!! Review: This was my first Koontz book. My friend recommended it to me. I was terrified to read the book in the beginning. Each page I turn came to life as if I was walking on the beach having no memory of who I was. A must read book.
Rating: Summary: average at best Review: If you haven't read any of Koontz's books don't start with this one. The characters are not very real and the plot is loosely thrown together. It seems like he didn't spend much time writing this book. If you want to read a good Koontz book, read "Dark Rivers of the Heart" or "Strangers". Worth reading if you're a Koontz fan, though.
Rating: Summary: The first Koontz book, never the last!!! Review: The Bad Place was the first Koontz book that I ever laid hands on. That was five years ago, and I still have an addiction to him. If you have ever thought about reading Koontz, you have to pick up this book.
