Summary: Oh yeah, that's the stuff.
Review: Do you know how sometimes a book fills a craving somewhere in your gut which you weren't aware of? I liken it to the first time I have a real fountain cherry limeade every summer. I realize I had forgotten how much I love those darn things! This book was just like that. I admit, this one sat on my shelf for awhile. "Lasher" was a big disappointment for me. But this book was as good as "The Witching Hour", "Lestat" and "Body Thief". Rowan, one of my favorite heroines, is back as strong and sexy as ever. There is some very evil activity going on in the Talamasca. Rowan and Michael team up to go on a search and destroy mission and protect the Mayfair Legacy. There is action, humor, mysticism, and some great new characters. If you love Anne Rice at her best, you'll be very satisfied with this one.

Summary: The Mayfair Chronicles Are Not Complete!
Review: Somebody, please tell Anne the Mayfair Chronicles is not complete! Taltos was excellent, leaving the reader begging for more. We fell in love with Rowan in the Witching Hour, Michael (and yes even Lasher) in Lasher, and now we have new characters in Taltos to learn about. We want more Lasher and more from the new cast! This book leaves so much unsaid, I feel like it was the First in the series! Anne's pen performance was superbly dazzling!

Summary: Thank you Anne!
Review: Taltos takes you to a special make-believe historical record. Ash is as or more compelling and sympathetic a hero as Lestat. His story makes you want to root for him & have him become part of the Mayfair story. He explains how Lasher came to be & makes you truly feel for his race. Anne can present any subject & make you suspend disbelief. I hope this isn't the last of the Mayfair series.

Summary: Two great novels then this! Please...... Bored me to Death!
Review: Again, you can have so much ideas in your brain, apparenly this one was not it. After writing the best novel The Witching Hour, and a great sequel Lasher, and it comes to this, Taltos. A boring story, uninteresting characters, with nothing about the witches. Anne has made the mistake by focusing on Ashlar the taltos, when this is not his series, it should be the Mayfairs. I kept reading hoping for more stories on the witches but all I got was 10 lines. Please. Ashlar is interesting but to make him the focus of the novel, please, totally boring character compared to the Mayfairs. It just bored me to Death. This is one novel, that has not enough material for a movie. Yes that is right. It is no where near The Witching Hour or Lasher.

Summary: Absolute Bomb!
Review: 100% un-readable. Couldn't even make to page 100, much lesspast it. Has absolutely no story line with even more useless, irrelevant, & tedious information. Wasn't made to be read, was meant to be burned at the stake... (i've tried reading her other novels in hopes of some talent, but alas i found none.)

Summary: One of Anne's greatest she really excelled this time
Review: the third and final book of the Mayfaire Witches series is by far the best. You really feel like you are in the places she describes living out the lives of these characters. I have usually found that Ms. Rice's books take quite a while to get the plot going but not this time, from cover to cover I was held with fasination

Summary: Incredible
Review: Anne Rice's Taltos is the best of the Mayfair Witch series.Old friends are back with new additions in one of the mostcomplex stories Rice has ever written. A must read for die hard Anne Rice fans!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I really enjoyed reading the 3rd book of the Mayfairs.
Review: Simply stated, I loved this book, I especially liked the part when Rice describes the little people, the "Leprechauns," through Ashlar's friend Samuel, how she described his gnarled disorted face. I am an avid reader of Anne Rice, I've read like 8 of her books already and I cannot seem to get enough of her. Her vivid imagery, her usage of words, seem to enthrall me into another world. Also, when I read her novels, I pay attention to little quotes that she says that are very unique. I can't wait until Merrick comes out so I can devour that book as well. After reading several of her books, I have come love Memnoch the Devil the best, she was just magnificient, as always. Ever since I read The Witching Hour I was hooked on the lives of the Mayfairs; consequently, I bought Lasher and Taltos-reading them one after another....she's just excellent.
