Summary: A page turner but confusing at times.
Review: This is honestly the first Stephen King book that I have read cover to cover...a year after I bought it. I was stuck to the book but the relationship of the characters got confusing at some points. I give it points for the spookiness of the parts with the "ghosties". I would recommend it to anyone who likes a quick summer read.

Summary: Good but not great
Review: Not his most gripping tale. I did not find it scary at all only a bit confusing at times.

Summary: kept hoping it would grab me...no pun intended
Review: finally at around page 250 i didn't have to make myself pick up the book and read. it was a hard job reading this one...a big disappointment...

Summary: "By Far, Stephen King's BEST"
Review: As Stephen King's "#1 fan", I have read the majority of S. King's new and old work and I have to say that this one has to be, by far, my favorite. When I first started reading the book it didn't do much for me, but after the second chapter, I couldn't put it down. The story kept getting better and better. This book is a "work of art"! I would suggest getting this book n the unabridged audio version by "Simon & Shuster". It is read by Stephen King and no one can tell his story better than himself. I have listened to this book 4 times and it has just gotten better and better. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!!!!!

Summary: He's getting more like a machine than a writer, Dry.
Review: I'm sorry that I keep ready his books. They seem to me that they losing there uniqeness. He still does occasionally do a good one, ie: The Green Mile, but Bag of Bones was just not that good. Not scary at all, just kinda there. No real meat in the book, just like he wrote it because he had to.

Summary: wonderful book !!!!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Very interesting, a little too lengthy
Review: I thought this was a very good book once I got into it, it just took a little too long to get there. There were also some times when he got a little wordy telling about the different places and people, but Stephen King is a very good writer of horror fiction overall and I would definitely recommend it if you like a good horror novel.

Summary: The new Stephen King
Review: It seems as though in the latter half of the 90's Stephen King has decided to change his style of writing, and expand his boundaries rather than just write straight horror novels. I think those people who find this book boring and uninteresting are most likely those who haven't had much experience to quality literature. And yes, there is a love story there, but it is NOT the first Stephen King story to revolve largely around love ("Rose Madder" and "Wizard And Glass" spring to mind). However, the love aspect of the novel and King's "new and improved" writing style, give this book a sense of beauty that is extremely refreshing in the horror genre. The plotlines of some of his earlier 'classic' books may be better, but this book is definately recommended for people who haven't read a Stephen King book before, and also Stephen King fans who are willing to embrace his changing style. Oh yeah, and I can't wait to read "Hearts In Atlantis"!

Summary: King never fails to keep me wide awake..!!
Review: I will never look at another Felix the Cat clock without remembering this book...King describes how what we do,will someday come back to haunt us.How some folklore is real, what we think of as stories made up to scare us,are actually bizzar truths..If you think it didn't actually happen, think again..Maybe it did!! I love Stephen King ,I only wish I had the time to read all of his works from his first novel to his last...I wonder what haunts him and keeps him up at night?!

Summary: I don't get all these kudos...
Review: Hi,

I'm in the camp of the the folks below who didn't get much out of this particular novel. I,too, am a huge fan of King and all his amazing past works. But this one, even though it had its moments, doesn't come CLOSE to some of his other masterpieces (like the Stand). So, I would have to say it's a mystery to me why all these five stars reviews...hey, it's all in your opinion I guess. But if you like this one, try to reading Salem's Lot,the Shining or Pet Semetary...and be prepared to be REALLY blown away. THAT was King's prime.
