Rating: Summary: If you love the genre, you'll like this book. Review: Mr. Barnhart's writing has improved considerably with this sequel to "Reign of the Dead". I really like that Barnhart sets his stories in the world created by George Romero; many fans of Romero's Dead trilogy think it would make for a great television series (one that would air on HBO or Showtime with all it's horror and gore intact), and Barnhart's stories fit nicely into that kind of presentation. It's Romero's apocalypse, but here are the stories of some of the other survivors, in different parts of the country. A fun read.
Rating: Summary: Reign of the Dead Review: This was a truly GREAT book. I've been a fan of the living dead series for a long time. I've love the dead series (Night, Dawn, and Day) but I admit I was certanly feeling a little uncomfrontable when I bought the book. I knew this was Len Barnhart's first book, and I was really hoping he understood the dead series like Romero and Savani and all those great true zombie artists. The book starts out in the best possiable way you would ever think of. A normal person's life turned into a living hell. This book is truly a masterpiece. I coudn't take my eyes off the pages. In school, at work, at home, nope, never. This is a truly great book and if you're looking for a good zombie story, this is it!
