Rating: 5 stars
Summary: It's been 3 years...and I still haven't put it down...
Review: Sitting here, basking in the neon glare of the computer, I can't even begin to describe how much these four stories have...made me whole. I have loved each one of these stories (except for "the breathing method"-boooooooorrring), but i would have to say that "apt pupil" is ultimately my favorite. Hell, the movie's great, too. I would (and have) shove(d) this book on anyone. Utterly fabulous.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very injoyable.
Review: I injoyed every story in this book. I read it when I was younger and the book seemed Very scary then. I especially liked "The Body". I even loved the movie. The other stories were entertaining but "The Body" will always be my favorite.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Could have and should have been better.
Review: No. This is all wrong. Each one of these stories should have been a full novel or a shorter story. Shawshank Redemption is an okay story, albeit dragging at times, but Apt Pupil is the most disgusting story I have ever read...it should be a novel in itself though...too short for what it is..The Body seemed more like Mark Twain than King until the end, but I did like The Breathing Method. Shawshank Redemption was merely okay, with nothing standing out about it. Apt Pupil should have been a novel, to better show everything, with some things omitted...that story was plain disgusting...ugh. The Body should have been a short story, maybe half it's size...too many details that don't matter!!! And last, The Breathing Method should have been a collection of the tales told at the club, not just one story. Overall, good ideas, but bad usage.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Surprisingly gripping and at times suspenceful.
Review: Of the four different novelas in this book," Apt Pupil" and "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemtion" are the superior two. I personally have read Apt Pupil several times, and have found it to be insanly scary and frightningly realistic. I have enjoyed many of Mr. Kings book but this one is by far my favorite. I would recomend it to King and horror fans alike. But in my opinion, it is only worth buying for the first two stories.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of the best pieces of literature
Review: Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption was a marvel, I must have read it like 8 times and seen the movie 50 this year...Apt Pupil was a great story...very strong and I can't wait for the movie...The Body was another good one just because it was pretty much a story from the heart...the movie lacked some of the great ideas that it had...and I didn't really care for The Breathing method at all...but it's one of the best books I've ever read...

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Different Seasons is good to the last page.
Review: Different seasins is one book that will go more graphic by the page. The story of the boy who gets involved with a Neo-Nazi is very disturbing and excellently written. If you liked graphic novels of the disturbing kind, read Different Seasons.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Two really good stories and two O.K. stories
Review: The first two stories where the best!!!! The next two will keep your interest. All these stories are nothing you would expect from King. I was quite suprised after finishing the book. This book is for all those people who think that King only writes scarey, horror novels! Those people would be really suprised, just like I was.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A real page-turner
Review: A wonderful change from the usual Stephen King horror. Different Seasons was a masterpiece that touched on many aspects of life that aren't usually looked at very closely. "The Body" was hands-down, my favorite though. A great novella on the summer of four twelve year old boys. It'll leave you looking back at your childhood years. And if you loved the book, catch the movie that was made after it - "Stand by Me."

Just one more King masterpiece. Keep 'em comming!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: BUY THIS BOOK!!!!
Review: "The Body" is one of King's BEST works.(If your not familiar with the story, the movie "Stand By Me" was based on it). I loved the movie, but the book is worlds better.Definately a story you never want to end. My favorite story of all time!

The rest of the book is OK. I liked "..Shawshank Redemption", the rest I could take or leave.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Three Great Stories
Review: I gave this book 5 stars, even though one of the stories (Breathing Method) is average. The other three are outstanding, and any one of the three would be worth the price of the book. Rita Hayworth & SR is a story of friendship and the belief that you cannot "break" an individuals spirit if he doesn't allow it. A Very uplifting story. The Body is a story of lost innocence, of course, but it covers a period in every boy's life in remarkably accurate detail. One gets the feeling that they're reading about their own life when they were twelve. Better than the movie. Apt Pupil is a disturbing story. Like the car wreck that you have to look at, you have to finish this story. You won't want to, but you will read it through. This is one of the strongest stories King has ever written. King's novellas/novelettes (and short stories for that matter) are always stronger and better than his novels, even to this day. This is one of his best books.
