Summary: The Queen of the Damned
Review: The Queen of the Damned is definitely a page turner. Anne Rice's third book in The Vampire Chronicles, it tells of how vampires came about and the history and legend of their being. The book switches point of view between several different characters, making the book harder to follow than the previous two. Even with the constant narration changes, the story flows well and keeps the reader interested, if not enthralled. This book's setting changes from Los Angeles to Ancient Egypt and to many exciting places in between. The Queen of the Damned is a great follow-up to The Vampire Lestat, in that it goes back to the night of Lestat's rock concert and fills in the details missed in the second book. I personally loved the book and will read it many more times.

Summary: Short and Sweet: Queen of the Damned
Review: Alright I'm not going to give you florid details about this book or any other thing I review. I'm just going to give you the lowdown. This book is another one of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. And it's definitely worth the read if you're a fan. I don't suggest starting a Rice collection with this book as you're likely to be confused. There are many character changes throughout this one, and if you did not previously read Interview with the Vampire or The Vampire Lestat, you will definitely be confused at times. Other than that, it's a great book and well worth the many pages of time you will be spending on it. If you're thinking about picking this one up, do not hesitate unless you haven't read the other Vamp Chron books. Buy it if so. It's lovely. That's the lowdown, short and sweet.

Summary: Best true Vampire Chronical
Review: If you're reading the Vampire Chronicles, think of this book as the finale. Sure she is writing more books after it all, but this book is truly the end in many ways. The book is incredibly fast paced, yet it covers so much ground. I couldn't put this book down. The ending was a little disspointing to me, however. Still, I found this to be better than Interview or Lestat. Aside from Memnoch (which isn't truly about vampires, really) this is her best vampire tale, in my opinion. This is a must read.

Review: This is one of the best books in Anne Rice's vampire series. Here we learn of their mysterious origins and about Egyptian queen Akasha. We also learn of the terrifying sisters Maharet and Mekare. In you want a tale that spans 1000s of years and that is rich in action, emotion, and historical texture, then this one is for you.

Review: The Queen of the Damned is the third book in the Vampire Chronicles about the mother of all vampires and 200 year old vampire rock star Lestat , who she takes to be her 'Brat Prince' and ally in creating utopia on earth by killing 90 percent of all males.
Anne Rice is a beautifully descriptive writer. She thoroughly blurs the line between reality and fiction with her distortions of partially unexplained historical events and creates a dark and vivid world with a wealth of characters whose emotions are so tangible and down to earth, they all seem so real.

Review: I have read all "The Vampire Chronicles" other than The Vampire Armand, which I will read very soon. The first book of the chronicles I read was "The Vampire Lestat" and I became utterly addicted to the book. It was my first time reading a book with Anne Rice's style of writing, she is a very detailed and persausive author. Her writings makes you visualize and makes everything seem so real. I fell in love with Lestat from the beginning. I don't think the movie "Interview with the Vampire"
does justice to the book. But, "The Queen of the Damned" is by far the best of the series, I could not put it down, I have read it at least 3 times, which is a record for me since I have never read the same book over again. I can't describe in words what it was liking reading this book. The Brat Prince strikes again. But I think one of my most favorite story in the book, was of Daniel, The Devil's Minion. The love story between Armand and Daniel, it was written like no story I have ever read before. She talks more of the love between them, then of the physical nature of the flesh. I have read that story at least 8 times and still I can't get enough. I wish that Anne Rice would write a book , solely on the love of Daniel and Armand, called "The Vampire Daniel" . The things Armand did for Daniel has touched me deeply. Their relationship doesn't seem in the least bit homosexual for some reason I don't know, maybe it's because Armand is a vampire and there is no mention on sexual intercourse between them, just kissing, which is a intimate act in my book. Her books are so rare in writing style, that you can't help but to read her books the get the desired effects of enjoyment from reading. I have read Merrick, Ramses the Damned, and The Witching Hour, all of the above was stupendous.

Summary: Queen of the Vampire Chronicles...
Review: I can't understand how some people dislike this book. It has to be my favorite of the Vampire Chronicles, the one that I can read over and over again, without getting bored. I first fell in love with the Vampire Chronicles when I read IWTV, and that original copy happens to be in pieces right now. I've slowly progressed through the series, and found that, although I enjoyed TVL on the first read, it got a little boring around the third read. The Queen of the Damned, however, while a little confusing the first time, slowly became my favorite as I revisited its pages a third, fourth, and fifth time. Its myriad of characters weave a spell-binding plot that takes one from from Baby Jenk's biker gang, to ancient Egypt, to the modern rock scene, and to primitive Haiti. I, for one, have always loved Egyptian history, so the story of the twins is my favorite part...
I suggest that if you have read this book, and found the plot confusing, you wait a while, and then re-read it. Let the story ensnare you, and I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

Review: This was my favorite in the Vampire Chronicles, with the second being Vampire Lestat. It was so well written & it definitely gave some insight into the creation of vampires (whether it is real or fantasy).

Summary: Vampires turn into flying super heroes
Review: I have read the vampire trilogy, from "Interview with the Vampire" to the "Queen of the Damned". The best book in my opinion is the second one, "The Vampire Lestat", although it does have some problems. "QOTD" is the worst. The broody and loquacious vampires of the first 2 books turn into flying super heroes which gather in a kind of bloodsucking Justice League against the Mother of all vampires. Lestat's rock songs have awakened this Egyptian beauty contest winner from six thousand years of catatonic trance and she has the key to world peace: wipe out all men from the face of the Earth (except one percent of us, if I am not mistaken). Apart from the very weak plot, what really bothered me in "QOTD" was the profusion of useless characters (Pandora, Santino, Eric, etc.). They have absolutely no bearing on the story and are clearly only teasers for future vampire books.

Summary: Anne Rice has done it again!!!! :)
Review: Ok, this book rocks!! I loved reading about the story of the twins. I love how Lestat and Akasha are in love and she gives him her blood so that he can do all those really cool things that only the older vampires can do. I loved how Anne Rice descrbed all the facial features, etc etc of all the vampires. It made me love them even more. Each Vampire got to tell a little bit of his/her own story. I loved how when Marius and Armand met again, i felt so happy for them. I loved how Anne described hoe Mekare, "battled" Akasha. How all the younger ones all blacked out and how Lestat told what he felt and saw. Of course, Lestat was his normal defiant self, and how he went to David Talbot, and talked with him. The only part that i was deeply destirbed was when the twins were raped!! And how they closed their souls to Khayman, and Marhat had a child with Khayman. I do suggest that you read THE VAMPIRE LESTAT before you read this book!! it will clear somethings up for you.
I loved this book, its like my bible! I cant wait to read the next one in the series, i'll write a review about that one also when i finish with it...
