Summary: Wacky humor but boring and predictable ending
Review: This is an easy five-day read that will have you crying and doubled over with laughter. It is the story of a professional San Francisco woman turned unwillingly into a vampire who falls in love with a "fresh-off the boat from the midwest" "wanna-be writer" who works nights at the Marina Safeway, stocking shelves and bowling with frozen turkeys. The author takes you on a wild ride of crazy plot twists and wackingly entertaining character developments. I read many passages out loud to friends. I was disappointed with the ending, however, because I felt as though the author chose to wrap it up by relying on the familiar "let's kill the head vampire" plot.

Review: Bloodsucking fiends is one of the funniest books I have read. It is a veiw into the atmosphere in the bay area. The five (or six) wongs in the story are heartwarming, it brings a tear to my eye just thinking of that romance. I suggest reading this book just to stop and smell the Peary.

Review: This book had me laughing out loud. I flew through it and didnt want to put it down. Moore captured a womans heart as if a woman wrote the book. I loved the way he made her into a heroine. A book for anyone who loves fantasy and loves romance. A great read.

Summary: Now, I look over my shoulder as I walk the streets at night
Review: I read BSF 2 years ago and I loved it. At that time I moved to San Francisco and I heard that the story took place here so I thought it would be fun because I could learn about San Francisco as I read. As I read I find out that the story takes place in my neighborhood, scary but cool too. This is a book for people who like dark humor with a small slice of blood and guts. I love the way the story ended, I can't say that for many of the books I have read. One big thumbs up :-)

Review: Anne Rice was slow; Chris Moore was action-packed. AR was lumbering; Chris Moore was funny. Of the 25-odd books i've read so far this summer, this was one of my favorites. If i lend it out, and don't get it back, i'm hunting the thief down!

Review: It's your typical girl-becomes-creature-of-the-night-and-finds-her-unique-wild-feminine-side story, but with the addition of the Emperor of San Francisco and Protector of Mexico, pocket-sized dogs and the finer points of turkey bowling. Great good fun and a fast read!

Review: A great, fun, frothy book that will make you laugh outloud. All of Chrostopher's Moore's books are funny but this is one of his best.

Review: Once you read one Christopher Moore book, you'll have to read them all. From vampires to "sequined love nuns," to small town fishermen and 1000 year old demons, the characters are always a riot and the stories twisted and fun.

Review: I'm 49..have read "horror" stuff all my life(well,maybe not all my life,I don't recall my mom telling me about bram s.)but this takes the cake! I have liked many efforts,of many,this is one of the best! Please(if you're into this kind of story,ya know Vampires,and laughing,and caring aboutwhat happens to the folks in the book,and not payin' any attention to the world around you 'cause you can't put it down kind of thing)...Order it and find a really new voice..this moore's a Kick!
