Summary: You have to get this book!
Review: B.F is the story of Jody, who is attacked on her way home from. When she awakens she discovers she's more dead then alive. Tommy is a wannabe writer, and is working in a supermarket. When the two meet a hilarious love story begins.
Christopher Moore takes mundane things from everyday life and describes them in a eye-watering funny way, which only he can. All the characters are vividly brought alive, and all have at least one gag. But then Chris can turn the story round to a sobering issue, blending it together seamlessly.
Scenes to watch out for include; the tattooed man, Tommy and the detectives, Jody's mum and the turtle and Jody shopping for the LBD.

Summary: The Man does it again. Fast-paced, funny, couldn't put down!
Review: Only professional jealousy would make me give this book less than the top rating it deserves! Chris Moore has come up with the most ingenious solutions of all to the age-old problem of, what the heck do ya do with a vampire, now that you're in love with it? To tell more would be to detract from this delicious tale. If you enjoy witty writing and seeing regular folk reacting to very, er, Unique circumstances, read everything this guy writes, and no, we're not related. ;)

Summary: Another Great from Christopher Moore!
Review: I am so glad I discovered this author. This is the second book of his I have read and I liked it almost as much as Lust Lizard. This one is set in San Francisco where an ancient vampire creates a fledgling vampire of Jody for his own entertainment. Jody is left unaware of what she has become or how to adapt to her new form, and befriends a human as a companion and protector. What comes next is a wild ride for Jody, Tommy, the police, a local character known to all as The Emperor, and all who cross their paths. Filled with humor, adventure, and love, this story will keep you entertained from page one to the end!

Summary: Didn't quite live up to the hype
Review: I really wanted to like this book. I like vampire books, I like comedy. This should be a great combination. But it's not. The comedy just seems too forced. And not really all that funny.

The story doesn't quite hang together, and the last few pages seem like a tacked-on rush ending.

There are some great characters here. The Emperor was my personal favorite. The book is quite fast-paced, and makes for light reading. I may try another of his, just to see if this is an acquired taste. Later.

Summary: Another MUST read!
Review: This is the last book by Christopher Moore - for me to read. Another winner. Moore takes your typical vampire tale and turns it into a coming of age, laugh a minute story. The two main characters are youths who are not only trying to figure out how to deal with one another, but also how to deal with vampires and just make it to the next morning. A wonderful story!

Summary: My Highest Compliments!
Review: A friend gave me an extra copy of this book, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I gave it the highest compliment that I could; I bought all of the author's other books.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: hilarious
Review: I read this book on a 9-hour flight and got stares the whole time. No book has ever made me laugh as hard and as frequently. C. Thomas Flood is endearing in an odd way, and you feel for Jody. A quick, highly enjoyable read.

Summary: One of the Best Comedic Novels Ever
Review: This book actually had me laughing out loud on crowded rush-hour subway trains, so beware if such behavior embarrasses you. As comedic novels go, this is one of the greatest. I also think it's Moore's best work, and I've read them all.

I particularly like how the vampire and her human boyfriend test the limits of her powers, (like by seeing how long she can hold her breath underwater in the bathtub).

I've bought copies of this book for at least five people I know and every single one has enjoyed it. If you like comedic novels, or want to buy one for someone, this is as close to sure thing as I can figure.

Summary: Changed my life
Review: It was only by chance that I ever read this amazing work. My friend's ex-wife recommended it to him as beach reading, and he wasn't interested, so I gave it a whack. The writing is so absorbing, so witty. It reminded me why I started writing years and years ago. I had lost the desire, but this work gave it right back. I wrote a letter of thanks to Mr. Moore for saving my passion.

Summary: SF residents must read
Review: This book is hysterical. The characters are well written, the plot is meaty, but my favorite touch was the setting. The only thing I didn't like about this book is how much of my life was in it.

Frequently books set in SF are based on reruns of the "Streets of..." I found myself recognizing alleys and places no one would think to mention. Most touching was the character the Emperor, based entirely on the Emperor of the United States from 1859-1880, Norton I, an important part of San Francisco history.
