Summary: A HIT FROM BEGGING TO END
Review: Desperation is one of King's greatest works. He hasn't been this good at horror since Needful Things. The characters are interesting to watch, and all of them together is never a dull moment. The story is one of the best I have read from any horror writer in a long time. I have never seen such a terrific portrayl of evil as I did with Collie Estrogen. A marvelous book that will keep you up all night long scared to death.

Summary: With no doubt in my mind, this is King's best yet!
Review: I have never read a book with such intesity. I was hooked after one paragraph, the first chapter was so amazing! I love the way the book can teach, entertain, and intrigue, and never get boring. I have read it twice, and it is the first book I reccomend to anyone to read. It proves that no form of evil is too much for God. I can't wait for the movie. DON"T MISS THIS BOOK!!!

Summary: It's vintage King
Review: No one writes a better opening chapter than Stephen King, and "Desperation" has one of the best, most truly frightening, of any I've read.

Unfortunately, S.K. also has a tendency to start bouncing off the walls midway through the tale, and that's precisely what happens here. The sense of menace quickly dissipates once you realize the nature of the beast, and that's revealed way too soon. I would have liked a little more restraint, a little less gore, and a lot less laughing by the characters at lines that are painfully unfunny.

Summary: Come on...
Review: I read Desperation and found it boring. The set-up is truly magnificient, but the rest. Besides it was all too religious-spooky. He has done better things than this one.

Summary: Absolutely a Stephen King must read!
Review: I read this book and The Regulators and found them most intriging. I could'nt put them down. I would love to see them as a movie but I don't believe film can do them justice. Only our own imaginations can put the words to pictures. Stephen King is a master at manipulating our minds into what he sees when he writes these stories. And I mean that in the most positive way. I can never wait for his next stories. Way to go, King.

Summary: With every turn of the page my stomach quivered!
Review: This is one of the best books Stephen King has ever written! King deserves praise from the world for this novel that had me turning the pages from start to finish, and had me terrified in the beggining and left crying in the end. Great characters and a storyline that can't be compared.

Summary: Definetly a great book
Review: I've have read this book twice, and I enjoyed it more the second time.It has some of the best imagery of any of his books. I think Tak is a brilliant creation. I can't stand it when people criticize his recent writing. I think all of his books are ingenious. Most of the people who talk S**T about his books speak from positions of ignorance. I admit that not all of his novels are created equal, but they are all good.

Summary: Fabulous
Review: This book and The Regulators is Stephen King at his best. These two books were absolute page-turners. I just couldn't put them down. The characters were so well developed that I was feeling for them every step of the way. I wanted things to work out for them. I wanted them all to live on after the book ended.

Summary: It Rules!!!!!
Review: Who says that this isn't the real Stephen King, huh? You trippin', man. It has an outstanding plot, great characters, (I liked that he used Cynthia from Rose Madder in this book) and it's violent and even a little perverted, which are all Stephen King trademarks. Get off whatever it is you're using and realize: this is the real thing.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: King's work keeps you reading-but is so predictable!!!
Review: This is one of Stephen King's better novels. I did enjoy it, but sorry to say-I don't like much of Stephen King's work anymore. It's predicatable, and with this book he dragged you along, it took him 3 pages to explain one thing. He's making me feal like an idiot!
