Summary: I really enjoyed getting frightened!
Review: It was the first book I read by Stephen King. I liked it very much. Once I started to read it I couldn't put it down till I realised the time. I hope they can make the film of Desperation because I really wonder how they will do that.

Summary: a great book
Review: If you want to know what a great stephen king book is, read this. It's one of te most fast-paced king novels I've read. No boring parts in here like usual, but great horror and action! This is the only book I've ever wanted to read twice!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Bold move on King's part to actually make God an active part
Review: This book is one of many of King's about good versus evil, however, it's the first of his that I remember that actually gives God an active part. In THE STAND, the old woman represents the good. In his other works, the good is represented by other characters, but in this one, God is actually represented with Biblical quotes and parables. I like this bold representation of Spirituality, and applaud Mr. King for it. The story was suspenseful, and all of the things I have come to know and love in the works of my favorite author!!

Summary: I really enjoyed this book!
Review: I could not stop turning the pages in this high speed but incredibly intruiging and somethimes rather spiritual horror novel. I think Stephen King really captures in this book what desperation is, and although it was confusing at times, I'd reccomend this to anyone.

Summary: The greatest book written by Stephen King
Review: True and real horror, no one can escape, and the feeling stays long after the book is finished, From the beginning 'till the end nothing is very clear...but if you are driving near Desperation...my advice is to turn around and never look back!

Summary: Retread
Review: I have enjoyed many of Stephen King's books. This is not one of them. This book was put together like a recipe of typical King books. Take one part kid with special powers, one author with troubled past, one unknown evil. Place characters in deserted town and see what happens. The only reason why I finished it was because I thought something interesting might happen. Gues what? It didn't.

Summary: Collie Entragian for President!!! Tak!
Review: Excellent book. Much better than the latest, Bag of Bones. King's cynical sense of humor is unique among the horror fiction writers. After reading this book, you start wondering how on earth you could stand reading a Dean Koontz novel.

Rating: 4 stars

Summary: One of Steven King's Best books ever.
Review: I read Desperation, the first time i picked it up i was a little intiminated by its thickness, but I read the first line and i was hooked. Once I started reading it i couldn't put the book down. I think it's one of the best books of all time and I am hoping they'll make a movie out of it so I can go see it.
