Summary: Crazy!
Review: Wow--this series is crazy! I decided to try it after reading King's story in the LEGENDS anthology. I'm not really a Stephen King fan (not into the horror thing), but THE DARK TOWER series had me totally hooked. Dark fantasy, with just some really weird stuff going on, it's totally engrossing. I highly recommend it!

Summary: NOTHING LIKE IT!
Review: From the very first page you're plunged into the story. You become almost instantly attached to Roland and everything that's happening to him. It's an emotional series, one that will make you laugh and cry and bite your nails waiting for what's going to happen next. It's so very real that sometimes you'll have to ask yourself, "Is Stephen really writing this - or is something else telling him.."

Summary: Obsessive
Review: These three books are among the best books i have ever read in my entire life, granted i am only seventeen, but reading has always been one of my passions. The Dark Tower series grabs you and doesnt let go. Obsessive would be the only adequate word to describe how i feel about the books when i am reading them- and i have read each one at least twice, the first one even three times! No matter who you are and what is going on in your life each reader can feel a connection with the characters. Thats part of what makes the books so enthralling- we see ourselves as Roland pushing forward no matter what or Eddie Dean overcoming the unthinkable and finally learning to accept himself. I dont care what types of books you read- these books are for everybody and anybody. If you are looking for truely good books that will keep you yearning for more then look no further. King throws the plot around so often youll be thinking about it every waking moment of the day. My only gripe is that King doesnt come out with them often enough- i need more!

Summary: The Powers that Be...
Review: Out of all of the fantasy books that are available, non have grabbed my attention like this series. Stephen King has brought fantasy and other worlds to life without blinking a single eyes. The lush characters that he portreys in these books are boundless. The meanings that can be found within each of them truly humbling. I began my journey and found that it was well worth it. I have never viewed life quite the same after words.

Summary: Dark Tower Series
Review: Have read all the Dark Tower Books enjoyed each one of them once I started to read them it was hard to put the books down. But what really caught my eye was the first sentence in the Dark Tower [The Gunslinger]"The man in black fled across the dessert, and the gunslinger followed"When I open a book and read the first paragraph and it grabs me then I know I will enjoy it.I hope Stephen King brings us another book about Rowland and his treks.

Summary: first impression
Review: I've read the first book of the Dark Tower Series, The GunSlinger. It was a very enjoyable read with vivid descriptions and fast paced action. At the end, we realize that the GunSlinger has very little understanding of the world around him. The 'Man in black' speaks about the room of size to the GunSlinger, in an attempt to warn of the infinite complexities that lie within the Dark Tower. One entity controls the Dark Tower according to the man in black. The last Gunslinger must prove himself before confronting The Dark Tower.

Summary: WOW
Review: this series of books is amazing. there is no greater tale of a group of people traviling far off lands that are so similar to our own and yet not. there are times when u can almost place when and where they are and then there are things about it that say that they are somewhere else. you will be amazed at this series. i just hope he finishes the series before i die.

Summary: How about telling me about the book
Review: I would certainly appreciate it if Amazon would put a brief description of the book that I was interested in buying. It would certainly help me out as I'm not sure if it was Dark Tower 3 or 4 that I have read. About the book however it is excellent. Take a slide down the ebony passageway's of dear Steven King's world. Great series. A little strange at times but generally the next book will explain what seems so odd. I highly recommend this series.

Summary: Oh, puh-leeze, here's a tissue
Review: Weep not over Stephen King's success... he is successful, because he touches a common chord in most all humanity. He is accessible, his stories, especially the Gunslinger series, speak of loss, fear and love, in other words, the human condition. He paints both villians and heroes in a believable gray, if you will, rather than starkly black and white. He's a master at drawing the reader into his tale. His characters breathe and his imagination is without peer. So dry your eyes, honey, this really is a pretty good tale.
