Summary: The Dark Tower Series by Stephen King
Review: I totally agree with the review I read about the Stephen King series "The Dark Towers". I am currently reading the fourth of the series and am looking, with no luck, for book number 6 and 7. Did he finish the series as he thought he might with these last two books? These books are captivating to say the least. After the first one I could not put the books down. I am anxious to see how they end up. I am a great fan of Stephen King's, having read several of his books and viewed some of the movies.

Summary: Great series

Summary: Best Stephen King Series
Review: This is by far Stephen King's greatest work. The Dark Tower series draws you from one book to the next and keeps you waiting when you finally get the the last book and you must wait for the new one to be published. I've been a Stephen King fan my whole life and have almost every book he made even his rare and limited edition novels and this is by far my favorite. A MUST BUY BOOK!!!!!!!!! I would suggest getting the Grant edition of these books.

Summary: An incomplete effort shows lack of respect for readers
Review: It's not that this is a bad book, or that any of the books in the series so far are untenably bad, but the fact that this series remains unfinished after 20 years is absolutely unforgiveable. The Gunslinger was first published in 1982, it is now 2002, and in the intervening years, King has published no less than 36 other novels and collections. King obviously has no commitment to this story, and that has shown in the last couple of books. They are just words down on paper, dragging the story along, without life or passion.

If you are the kind of person who would willingly buy a movie ticket, and upon the film breaking in the middle, get up and go home with never another care about how the movie ended, then by all means read these books. However, if you're the kind of reader who gets drawn into stories and actually interested in characters, then I'd suggest passing on these books until King decides if he's ever going to finish the story.

Summary: An Epic story which may end up being our generations LoTR
Review: The space with which I have to write this review is not nearly enough to do justice to the epic adventure and world that Mr. Stephen King has created with the Dark Tower series.

Stephen King has brought us many different stories over the years, but none have ever been so grandiose and fantastic as these.

Roland of Gilead is our main character, a champion from a defeated Kingdom, wandering a dying world in search of the Dark Tower. Along the way, Roland has to gather a party of three to help him in his quest, and in doing so, help the three solve problems from out world in order to transport them back to his.

The battles (both mental and physical) that are portrayed within this series are absolutely captivating, and King will have written himself into history as one of the world greatest authors in yet another category by the time he finishes off his epic tale of Roland of Gilead.

This book collection is absolutely essential to the Stephen King fan, or to the fan of epic adventure. It is too tremendous to pass up on...get this series!

Summary: Great Hardcover set
Review: I don't usually collect first editions/sets, etc. but this one is exeptional. The illustrations are a plus, and the slip case is great to keep the books in mint condition. I've read the first book, the Gunslinger, and its a wonderful fantasy. King's horror is awsome to read, and I am equally impressed by his fantasy/sci-fi. His visual descriptions bring you to a different world, and you come to know his characters. If you like the Dark tower series, I also recommend The Stand and Eyes of the Dragon.

Summary: One of the greatest, if not THE greatest series of all time.
Review: Its dificult to describe how the characters in this series become a part of you. I normaly write long reviews but this series doesn't need one. Advice to anyone thinking of reading these.

Do it. It will blow your mind.

If you are weak of mind, read it anyway, it will probably kill you but there are other worlds than these.

O and also the first book is a little wierd but after you read the other ones you will come to aprieciate it.

Summary: Fantastic set of fantastic books
Review: These are hands down King's best books in recent years. Previously if you wanted them, you had two choices: the (...) softcover editions or (...) limited-edition hardcovers. Not now--here's a great hardcover three-issue set of the first three Dark Tower books. Go for it. This is King at his absolute best!

Summary: ....wow....
Review: This series is simply amazing. People who are not a fan of Stephen King or the horror genre will love this epic saga. It has aspects of every type of fiction one can imagine and it's all woven together so masterfully that you'll be waiting for the fifth installment as well! For those who are avid King readers, he ties in book after book after book into the Dark Tower Series. I cannot say enough good about them; just pick em up and read!
