Summary: Mr. King does it again!!!
Review: Once again Mr. King takes the reader on a nightmarish journeyto the core of all that we find horrifying in our own world. Awonderful commentary, the Dark Tower series is the most captivating of Mr. King's works as yet. Roland is the perfect reluctant-hero and I only wish Clint Eastwood were young enough to star in a movie version. I can't seem to picture Roland in my head without conjuring images from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. The waiting for Wizards and Glass has been unendureable, but I'm sure it will be well worth it. Ever the faithfull King fan, I have to say "Bravo Mr. King!!!".

Summary: An excellent read for anyone
Review: I read this trilogy while I was attending college 3 years agoand I can assure you several classes were missed as I read just onemore chapter. I found my attempt to finish each read at a resolved point was quite impossible and I ended up completing all three books within a few days. The way King hints at the fact that Rolands world is our own future gone awry is intriquing and almost depressing. Just enough mystery, magic and muscle for a good long read. (And a good long wait for the conclusion!)

Summary: The Best of the Best
Review: This is the best work of the greatest writer of our time. Roland's world brings out the best in King's poetic descriptions, and the fullness of his unique understanding of modern culture and the human mind. Brought out by King's immense talents is a story of epic proportions that completely enthralls the reader. Seeing how the series gets better and better as the story progresses, I can barely contain my excitement for the fourth book

Summary: An awesome tale by one of this century's great authors.
Review: A tremendous work! Stephen King has the best descriptive vocabulary since Dickens, and creates powerfully deep and human characters. A powerful story of heroes; mysticism; lunacy; evil; and love. Here King proves that he is MUCH more than a "horror writer", these books are above pigeonholing. I could talk until I turned blue and still not describe the beauty and terror of the DARK TOWER story. I only fear two things: that King won't finish the story; and that, when Roland and Co. finally reach the Tower, nothing they find there could meet my expectations. But until the future, when I find out if my fears are justified, I'll enjoy this masterwork by one of the great storytellers of modern times

Summary: The Dark Tower, or,the book series that kicks ass
Review: The Dark Tower series is perhaps the best epic to come along in years. I loved Roland and his companions. I also especially found the 3rd book, the wastelands, very, very extremely cool

Summary: This is definately -- NOT-- a train wreck!!!!
Review: After hearing about the upcoming release of King's next book in the Dark Tower series...I just had to re-read the first 3 books again. Just like the first time I was completely entranced in his writing. UNBELIEVABLE! Can't wait for the fourth book to come out

Summary: Great Series.....but...
Review: I have been waitng for the 'last' book for a long time. I took off a point for the wait. I guess I'll start at the beginning again, maybe he'll be finished the last book this year. Loved it anyway!

Summary: Enthralling! However the series remains STILL incomplete!!
Review: The series is a wonderful fantasy trip that will keep you on your toes and breathless as to what lies around every single turn. Great story lines and very easy to follow. However, the series (currently 3 books) remains unfinished! The ending of the last book is captivating.......... and nerve shattering when you have been waiting for over two years to find out the outcome of the potentially tragic situation for Roland and his traveling companions on Blane the Mono-Train. HEY! Mr. King, what gives? We enjoy your writing, so why the the torment?? And the wait goes on and on and on......

Summary: Lord of the Rings pales in comparison to The Dark Tower
Review: The Iliad, The Oddysey, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit all pale in comparison to Stephen Kings epic tale The Dark Tower. No one manages to blend horror, fantasy, and suspense as well as Stephen King does, and The Dark Tower is a primary example of all of these elements. You can't helped but be drawn to the mystery and the aura of The Dark Tower. These books are truly a great specimen of Stephen King's imagination and talent for writing.

Summary: Best He's Written!
Review: I've read all of these a couple of years ago and was pleasantly surprised. This series is not like his usual gore and horror. When I read the first one, The Gunslinger, it took to me to a whole new world with concepts I'd never even dreamt of. When the Gunslinger finds the door on the beach and sees that it stands alone (no walls holding it up, no nothing, just the door) and what he sees when he opens it STILL makes me smile and gives me chills when I think about it. Stephen, I've always enjoyed the "realness" of your characters when faced with the evil that always finds them. But what makes me keep coming back to your books, is that the "good guy" ALWAYS triumphs. I always close your books with a smile and my heart beat beginning to slow down.....an excellent combination! I hope to see the Dark Tower Series continue....... Love, Your Gentle Reade
