Summary: An Epic Story Of Good Vs. Evil... simply the best!!!!!!!!!!
Review: Okay... the Dark Tower series has everything... characters we can relate to, the best plot to a story Iv'e ever read, and endings that have left us hanging on cliffs for years. All this leads me to believe...Stephen King is God. The tie ins to other King books are ingenious, and his sources for ideas are amazing (C.S. Lewis, Robert Browning, the Wizard of Oz books). The Gunslinger started slow, but speeded up towards the "Walter" scenes, the "Drawing" was fast all the way through, and the Wastelands were just plain fascinating (the bible of the series if you ask me), explaining such things as Jake, Randall Flagg, and the nature of "billy bumblers." This series is definitly King's best work. In my mind, comparable to the Oddyssey, and the Stand.

Summary: WOW
Review: I had put off reading this series as the title,The Gunslinger, didn't nab me. It just didn't seem like something I'd be interested in. A couple months ago someone convinced me to give it a shot. WOW, I was so impressed I raced through it and the books following it and feel at a loss now that I have to wait for the next book to come out. The characters were terrific and I think about what could be happening to them even now. A definite must read!

Summary: One story I hope never ends
Review: Like Mr. King says in one of the forwards of the books... He doesn't know if he will finish it. This is one story I hope never ends. King has let me down in most of his titles with the endings. It would be a shame to for him to undermine his true ability in his greatest work.

Summary: King has outdone himself AGAIN!
Review: This is a fantastic series. I waited two years for the last book and can't wait for the next one! For King lover's who want a little less 'gore', these books are for you.

Summary: Everything you've been looking for...and then some!!
Review: It seems as if almost every book Stephen King has ever written ties in, somehow, somewhere, with this series. Eyes of the Dragon, Insomnia, The Stand, The Talisman (his combined work with Peter Straub), and at least one of his short stories concerning 'Salem's Lot all have a place in this meticulously crafted universe. If you've ever read King, you're already a fan, but this series is, beyond a doubt, his greatest accomplishment. Like some other readers I've been suffering anxiety attacks while waiting for the 4th book in the series, thinking some disaster would befall King and the series would be left unfinished. Now that I've read the latest volume (3 times) I'm beginning to fiend all over again. I can't wait for the 5th book, and sadly I know it will probably be a long time coming, but will definately be worth the wait. This series is truly a work of art.

Summary: Excellent! His best works ever!
Review: These stories are the most excellently written pieces Stephen King has ever done. They draw you in and don't let go! As you read through the books, more and more about The Gunslinger's past become know to you, and more and more you want to know what happens next. I caution you, however, these stories are not at all like Stephne King's over works, they are far closer to fantasy than horror. Also, it seems that all of Stephen King's other great novels (The Stand, for instance) end up tieing into this collection. The illustrations on the larger paperback copies are stunning, full colour paintings that leave enough to the readers imagination to leave some of the details to him or her self. I highly reccomend the Dark Tower Series to any and all people who are willing to read through the thousands of pages which make up his story.

Summary: Outstanding work!! I couldn't put them down.
Review: I zipped throught these first three books, but my favorite was The Waste Lands. I guess I am also very lucky; I didn't even discover this wonderfull series until about two weeks ago. I am extremely happy that, unlike some of you, I don't have to wait to read book four in the series! I would go looney if I had to wait years for my next fix, so I would. To those who did have to wait and would now like to feed me to the lobstosities (dod-a-chock?), I cry your pardon.

Summary: Where is Volume 5?
Review: In my opinion, the Dark Tower Series is his BEST work yet! I have read them all more than a few times. But I need the next volume! It's like I'm in withdrawal. Please, someone, let me know when the next volume hits the shelf! P.S - WIZARD AND THE GLASS was really good.

Summary: A modern-day classic.
Review: Stephen King may not be the most profound writer of our time, but I believe this series of books will be the ones that he is remembered for. He takes us on a journy with the last Gunslinger, Roland of Gilead, who is in search for the Dark Tower. The Dark Tower is the center of time and space...mayber even a doorway to other worlds. Roland has plowed West across Mid-World in search for the Dark Tower, set on saving his dying land. Will Roland ever find the fabled Dark Tower? We all hope so as we journy with him and his ka-tet. Another great thing about this series is how King has started to tie in his other novels with Roland's world. This a must read for any King fan... and even the people that don't like King. JUST GET IT.
