Summary: weaves all his stories together in one fell swoop
Review: In addition to interwoven with almost all of Stephen King's other works, the Dark Tower series is a masterfully told fantasy that covers almost every genre there is. I love it!

Summary: Best book series I ever read
Review: The Dark Tower series from Stephen King is the best series of books I ever read. How he combines our world with that fictional world of Roland and his friends is nearly genial. And I like it very much how he refers to the series in other books of him, e.g. in 'Insomnia', as well as he refers to 'The Stand' in 'The Dark Tower III'. In my opinion the Dark Tower series is the best Stephen King ever wrote!

Summary: An epic, beyond belief !!!!!!!!!!
Review: Fifty years from now, college students will line up to sign up for Shakespeare 101, and KING 101.!!! This is an epic tale that will stand the test of time. Bilbo and Frodo "ain't got nothin" on Roland, The Gunslinger."There are other worlds than these", you may find them through "the door" and do yourself a favor and read these books.

Summary: These storys are the best
Review: I started reading the gunslinger in ninth grade and don't plan on finishing the entire Dark Tower story until I'm about 40. But thats just too bad that I'll have to wait so long. The imagery is the best and when reading you feel like you are in the story with Roland and Eddie and the others. It creates a whole world that you get wrapped up in. King is a master and there ever was a drug or a fountain of youth, I would personally take him to it.

Summary: Steven King has *mastered* Fantasy writing
Review: Steven King... the name evokes images of rotting corpses, horrible monsters, and evil graveyards. These Dark Tower books, however, are a total suprise. Yes, they have suspense and action and even the occasional monster... but these books are truly not typical of Steven King's normally terror-ridden novels. Possibly the best books I've read... ever.

Fans of fantasy rather than horror will be delighted with these excellent books. Don't let the name fool you... Steven King has been working on something besides corpses and graveyards... and in this readers opinion, he's done a wonderful job.

Summary: The Master of horror strikes again with this trilogy
Review: In this reader's humble opinion Mr.King demonstrates the reason why he is the unquestionnable Master of Horror. The trilogy is as much a classic as Frankenstein or Dracula, anybody who dares read is engulfed by Mr.King's uncanny ability to transport us to a totally realistic world in our own minds...

Summary: A fantastical voyage of the imaginable
Review: This story surpasses all of Kings' other works, with the exception of Desperation, Maybe. It manages to draw you in, and keeps you in its grasp. You never actually manage to forget about it, not that you'd want to. "The man in black fled across the desert, the gunslinger followed." The nearest comparison in any of his other works is the Talisman, but only because the talisman seems to represent a similar thing to the dark tower. I can't help wondering if in some way the talisman belongs to the dark tower.

Summary: The King
Review: This series is King's crowning achievement. There are not enough words to describe the depth and power that this series holds over its readers. The actuality of it is that this series takes the center stage of all of his books. This overall story encompasses all of his other stories, and he is beginning to realize this fact. In recent books, he has started making references to this storyline, and vice versa. #4 makes references(as well as 1,2,and3) to other characters from other books. This gives the constant King reader a sense of a cohesive universe where everything is somehow related. This only serves to make the reader hungry for more Dark Tower books. I highly recommend this series to any reader, but I also warn you that once you start in, you will not want to stop until you too are standing in the red fields with Roland, looking upward at the Dark Tower.
