Summary: Berry Skerry!
Review: This is a GOOD book. I'm just glad we have someone such an active and twisted imagination to write such high quality reading to scare the S**T out of the rest of us! Read the short story by the same name first. Once primed, this read is like slowly going up on a roller coaster, anticipating your fall, yet not being sure what to expect. Thanks Steven King!

Summary: timeless heart pounding classic novel
Review: One of my all-time favorite Stephen King novels. Especially like the short stories connected to 'Salem's Lot (One for the Road, Jerusalem's Lot), Why not a sequel? I know I would line up for it. First read as a teenager and it scared the bejesus out of me. Could not put the book down. I still enjoy reading it again and again. The movie was a feeble attempt to capture the feel of the novel (as too many are) and was a disappointment. Would enjoy a few more novels of this calibre. Stop delving into my psyche for a while and give me a good old fashioned scare (like Pet Semetary).

Summary: Everyone says that this is one of his best...
Review: I have read and heard a lot about this book, so I though I would give it a try. It was nothing like I expected. I have read almost all of King's books, but I think this was one of his worst. The plot was extreamly slow and it was not as good with the chareters as most of his are. His books are known for having a life of their own. But this one was just dead. I was so dissapointed in him for this one. If you really want some good reading material check out books like The Shinning and Bag Of Bones or The Dark Towers Series. But I felt this book was a disapointing waste of time. I am really glad that this was only a one time flaw.

Summary: DRAGula ! What a waste
Review: I can't believe S.King wrote this. It's just another neck sucking, stake pounding DRAGula ! If you want a vambire story I reccomend Children of the Night -- Dan Simmons is it! It's refreshing, totally unexpected

Summary: What a treat to reread a classic!
Review: I finished Bag of Bones late last year, and recently had foot surgery. My friend went to the library for me, and brought me 'Salem's Lot. How fun to read again a book that scared the bejesus out of me when I read it 18 years ago. Recommended to first time readers, and second time readers, and third .......

Summary: Scary!
Review: I remember reading this one night and a storm was kicking up. The wind was shaking my bedroom door and it freaked me out! This is one of Kings best with great fleshed-out characters and the perfect setting (a small town in Maine). Don't read this before turning out the lights!

Summary: Keeps you on the edge of your seat!!!
Review: Ben Mears, a man coming back to his childhood town is greeted by vampires, who basically kill almost everyone. I loved it. The only thing i didnt like, was the beggining it takes a bit for the plot to kick in.

Summary: I would give it 4.5 stars if it were an option
Review: Well, it started out semi-slow. It finally picked up at about page 150!(Though I did get it for $1.50!, but the ending was good, escpecially the epilouge, and it contained some good twist of plot.

Summary: One of the best, even tho its an older work...
Review: 'Salem's Lot by Stephen King was a great book. King's combination of the well known aspects of vampirism with his own flair for fear made it into a book worth reading. His way of almost personifying the Marsten House and making it a thing to be reckoned with made it easier to relate to the book. Everyone has childhood fears, and nearly everyone remembers the neighborhood haunted house...this aspect makes the book into something more than just food for the imagination.

Summary: Incredible Book! It doesn't get any better than this!
Review: This is one of my favorite books ever. The way King takes a storyline as wornout as vampires terrorizing a small town and breathes life into it is incredible. He really makes you love these characters. I especially hated when the Doctor died. I first read this book 10 years ago and keep a copy just to reread every now and again. This is King at his best!!
