Rating: Summary: This book is phenominal! Fantastic! Review: Stephen King..is a master of language and BEING the character..he makes you live what the character is living! wonderful book..i'd recommend it to anyone who has a liking of another way of looking at things that, departs from the bright and cheery fake world that some writers depict.
Rating: Summary: Don't dare to miss it! Review: I'm eating books for breakfast, lunch and dinner; and this was my most delishes meal I've had in years! Epic.
Rating: Summary: Not Typical King Review: I never thought that Steven King would write a book that would almost make me cry but here it is.I am a King fan but this book just about blew me away. The charcters are so real I almost feel as if I know them. This book is a sure ride for the emotions.
Rating: Summary: The master @ his finest, once again!!!! Review: Fantastic reading. Read all the books in one night. Couldn't put it down. Keep em comin!!
Rating: Summary: a masterpiece Review: This novel is simply brilliant. my god, how this guy comes up with so much great ideas. Buy the whole thing in one piece, because you can not wait until you finished the last page...
Rating: Summary: loved it!! Review: One of Kings best, I liked having the 6 parts because my friends could start reading it before I finished, but it worked out alot more expensive than one book. Very original story. When is someone going to make this into a movie?? Stephen King is my favourite author, and this book confirms it.
It didnt need gruesome horror to keep your attention but the bad death was a real ripper!
Rating: Summary: Stephen King has done it again (can there be any question?) Review: For those of you who don't know what Stephen King's great art really is, read this book. What Mr. King does best (in mny opinion) is develop characters. Yes, sometimes these characters are cars, washing machines, and mice, but they're always great. Always credible, sometimes honorable, always interesting. I bought all six volumes of this one, and as I bought them one by one, I could hardly wait for the next one to come out. Although I am a reader of horror, that has never been Stephen King's appeal for me. Several of his best books (Misery, Dolores Claiborne, the Green Mile) actually had very little in the way of horror, but so much in the way of great characterizations and good stories.
Rating: Summary: One of King's Best!! Review: I have read more than 25 of King's books, and this is one of his best ever. This book makes all of his characters come to life. I could not put it down.
Rating: Summary: A very enjoyable read. Review: This was the first Stephen King work I had ever read so I know I have none of his other work to compare it to, but I really enjoyed the the whole story. Will recomend it to anyone.
Rating: Summary: King at his WORST and that's the TRUTH Review: The only reason that I can give for submitting a '4' for my rating of the Green Mile is the fact that once again King has found a way to suck his fans pockets dry. Why did he stretch this series out only to let it end with such a weak ending? I know the answer and it has to do with George Washington. Blaine the Train is not nearly the pain that King is becoming to my bank account by dealing us such trash as this. I do however think Mr. King is one of the greatest writers of our times. I also believe he has finally become a victim of the almighty dollar and believes he's worth more than the word he writes which has got to be his biggest mistake.
