Summary: One of the better King books--
Review: Stephen King may well be the late twentieth-century author future generations will read most. Does that sound strange? Often popular authors disappear, as they should. King at his best rises above the "popular author" tag.

The Green Mile suffers a bit from King's having to include detail in one segment to remind readers of something in an earlier segment. I hope someday King will do a rewrite to smooth out the transitions.

But he has seldom written better, and I was enormously surprised. Yes, he can be uselessly crude, and he is here. But his characters walk and talk and think and fear, here as almost always.

I have been disappointed in much of King in the past several years; most of his writer-centered stuff just doesn't seem to work.

The Green Mile works on a number of levels, artistic, intellectual, and emotional. It's not his best work, but it's very close.

Summary: A very well written book!!!!!!!
Review: The Green Mile By Stephen King was one of the more intresting books I have ever read. I have to edmit that I really have never read that many books, but this one caught my intrest. I thought that at the begining of this book it was going to be lame but after the first couple of chapters I got into it. Befor reading this book I had never read a Stephen King book befor. But I have to say he is a very good writer. This was about men on Death Row and the prison guards. Yes this book may have some sections that I just wanted to skip but you know if I would have done that I would have been lost with the whole story plot. This is probly the first book or if you would like to call it a novel that I will ever finish. I really enjoyed this book and hope you will read it when you have a chance, I know you will enjoy it to. Oh and watch out for Wild Bill!

Summary: This book was one of the best books I've read.
Review: I really didn't want to read this book. It was assigned for my Senior English class. But after I got started I couldn't put it down, really. I like the way S.King made the mouse,Mr Jingles, reappear in the end. It was interesting how he let you like these convicted felons, you really grow attached. You know that you should dislike all of them but you have mixed feelings. It makes you think about who you are! I like how Brad took over Percys place in picking on those who couldn't do anything about it. I like the way he used the initials JC for a guy who is just trying to help. This book is almost like a mystery because you have to make up your own mind if you believe John or not. I suggest that every who gets a chance to, reads it.

Summary: THE BEST BOOK I'VE EVER READ WHICH WAS TREMENDOUS
Review: My experience with the Green Mile. I loved the book, and it was only the second book i've ever read in school. I wasn't planning on reading this book untill we read some out in class which it got interesting,so i picked it up and read the majority by myself when I had the time at home. I would suggest this book to anyone over the age of fifteen, because we've all heard some of the languageused in this book. As I was reading the book at home my brother decided to pick it up and read a little then asked to barrow it after I was done, and he is the same way as me because i don't like to read but i do when i have to,and if it is something that interests me. My Aunt Lynn would also like to read this book ,because she had started to get the single books but missed the last three chapters(books). I think part of the reason she wants to read some more is because it starts to get real good in the third book but everything starts to happen in the fourth, fifth, and sixth books. Summary: This is the best book I ever read.
Review: I have read many books in my High School career and none of them compare to the green mile. I enjoyed this book beter than others because it was not as boring. The scenes in this novel were fantastic and showed the true life on death row. Ihave never read a Stephen King book before and he makes reading enjoyable for me. I would recommend this novel to anyone. If I had to rate this I would give it a 9.

Review: I GIVE THE GREEN MILE TWO THUMBS UP. MR.KING KEEP YOU ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT. I'M NOT A BOOK READER BUT THIS BOOK WAS VERY INTRESTING. HE ALWAYS LEAVES YOU IN SUSPENSE. YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT. SO I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS BOOK TO COME OUT IN THE THEATRE. SO I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND THIS BOOK. ARE CLASS HAD TO READ IT FOR SENIOR ENGLISH CLASS. AS LONG AS THE CLASS IS MATURE THIS BOOK IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR ANY SENIOR CLASS. SO READ THIS

Summary: I loved this book, it kept me on the edge of my seat.
Review: The Green Mile was the only book I have ever seemed not to lose interest in. I had to pay attention through-out the book, because the narator kept jumping back and forth, and if I didn't pay attention I surely would have been lost. My favorite character was John Coffey, I think it's just because how mysterious they made him out to be. This book really made me think about how often innocent people are convicted of a crime they did not commit. I believe that this happens a lot more than we're awear of. Then on the other hand, people like "WILD BILL WHARTON" should fry, he's a cold blooded killer and deserves what he gets.

Summary: THIS WAS A VERY GOOD BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: THIS BOOK HAS MADE ME THINK A LOT ABOUT HOW I SEE THINGS LIKE THE DEATH PENALTY, GOD, AND LIFE; TO ME, THAT IS WHAT MAKES A GOOD BOOK. A GOOD BOOK MAKE YOU REALLY QUESTION YOURSELF, SOCITY, AND RELIGION. STEVEN KING IS A VERY GOOD WRITER; HE KNOWS WHEN TO PUT TWISTS IN THE STORY AND WHEN TO REALLY PLAY WITH YOUR EMOTIONS.AT NO POINT WAS I BORED WITH THE BOOK.I READ THIS BOOK FOR MY SENIOR ENGLISH CLASS. I DIDN'T KNOW AT FIRST IF PEOPLE COULD HANDLE IT BUT BY THE end PEOPLE WERE MATURE ABOUT IT....I THINK?
