Summary: One of those books you will never forget!!
Review: This book has the appropriate title! It was intense, chilling, and so well written that I couldn't put it down and at the same time I was afraid to pick it back up but couldn't stop myself. Never have I read a book that caused such a wide range of emotions. The characters are so well developed they touch everyone and the story!!! Hang on for the ride of your life! You will not be disappointed!

Summary: AN INTENSE STORY!!
Review: This book was absolutely intense!! The heroine of this story is probably the most brave of any other character that I've read about in a long time. And the antagonist of this story is definitely one of the craziest! Dean Koontz has beautifully written this horror tale and makes it very hard to put down. I haven't read many of his books, but I will from now on. And no doubt, I'm sure that this is one of his best!

Summary: Dean Koontz is an incredible author
Review: This book was an excellent work. One of my favorite aspects of Koontz's works are that many of his villians are twisted, but coexist publicly with society, hiding their true intentions well. Intensity was no exception, with Vess's occupation lending an interesting twist at the end of the story. Koontz always left wondering what would happen next, and I carried the book around with me so much my family thought it had been glued to my hands.

Summary: ...untouched and alive....untouched and alive
Review: untouched and alive..This was what I was quietly chanting to myself after this chilling novel. It might be the very best novel by Koontz EVER. You'll be cheering for the characters at the end of the book. You will be amazed at how much danger Chyna (the main character) goes through in trying to save a girl she dosn't know, This book will leave you with a smile on you smile on your face. It was a heartwarming book at the end book but in the process of reading this novel you'll be scared straight, It is astonishing that "freaks" like Mr.Vess actually walk the earth. I assure you, you won't be dissapointed if you read this masterpiece. All the people who wrote negative comments clearly couldn't have been reading the same book as I did.

Summary: Intensity
Review: The book Intensity, by Dean Koontz, definately lived up to its title. The true intensity of the novel on each page kept me interested and intrigued. The content was mind-boggling and had my brain constantly asking,"Could this really happen?" Edgler Vess was a mystery all in himself. His thoughts and actions and his different identities were so out there, yet still in touch with much reality. The strength of Chyna Shepard made me feel her power, her pain, the memories, and everything else that came upon her in her instances and encounters. But what was so interesting about her was how she was so smart about her surroundings. She was amazingly as she put it,"Untouched and alive." This was a truly terrificly written novel. There were many more wonderous characters in this imaginative story, but there are possibly not enough words to describe their individual intensity. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and I personally believe that this review expalins why.

Summary: SPINE TINGLING
Review: Koontz paints a chilling picture with words! This book is hair raising and intense! I can't praise it enough!

Summary: A beautifully poetic work
Review: A beautifully poetic work. That surprised me - coming from an author that I had thought always cuts to the chase with action rather than poetry. But indeed, poetry is life reflected in intensity. And here, "intensity" is well suited - both as a title, and with a villain who is an artist of intensity.

Summary: Untouched and Alive
Review: Set on the West Coast present time, Dean Koontz's novel Intensity is the story of one young woman's fight against a determined killer and her chance to escape her past and save a life. The main character, Chyna Shepard, left her mother, Anne, and her life behind when she was just sixteen. Anne dated dangerous men who drank and did drugs. Chyna never felt safe with or trusted anyone, even her mother. Now, Chyna and her best friend Laura Templeton are taking a break from college to visit Laura's parents in Napa Valley, CA. Chyna can never sleep easy in an unfamiliar house, which proves to be a good thing in this case. The house was broken into and the Templetons were all gruesomely murdered, except for Laura. She was still alive but in bad condition. Chyna, however, heard the screams from down the hall and hid before it was too late. The killer decided to take Laura with him, wherever that may be, and Chyna, in a blind rage, stows away on his motor home to save her. When she finds her friend in the vehicle, she's dead. Throughout the book, Chyna becomes a new person. She is no longer scared and weak but brave and strong. She discovers that the killer has a young girl, Ariel, about 16 years old, imprisoned in the cellar of his house. Chyna's desperate attempt to save this poor girl and herself could get them both killed but she learns to trust Ariel which might be the only way that either one of them will survive. This book combines the thrill of suspense with horrific twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. If you want an interesting and intense book, than I definately recommend this one.

Summary: Intensity
Review: This is one of the best that Kootz has written. Chyna Shepard is a charactor that should be on screen. Her history is awful but she overcomes it to become a caring, courageous person. This book would make an actress a star. Who could play it though?
