Summary: This is your worst nightmare.
Review: Chyna Shepperd deserves a standing ovation for her test in courage and humanity. Most people would have run for their lives and never looked back.

While spending the weekend with a college friend everyone in the family is murdered saved for Chyna and her ingenuity. She manages to secret herself into the camper of the homicidal sycopathic maniac and discovers horror upon horror. Most would have lost their minds then and there, but not my girl Chyna. She manages to tough it out and discover who his next victim is. Her single-minded goal is to try and save this person at the expense of her own life.

This book is a spine tingler that does not even allow you to put it down even for a pee break. It keeps you riveted to your seat and your eyes glued to the page trying to surge forward as fast as your eyes will allow. You want the author to spare no details. You're right there with Chyna urging and encouraging her every step of the way.

When the homicidal maniac's identity is reveiled it's really a shock. If I could have given this book a higher rating it would have gone far above a 10. This book is poker hot.

Summary: The most gripping novel by Dean Koontz yet!
Review: From page one this book pulled me into it. I actually felt that I was Chyna. I have read all of Dean Koontz's novels, but this is his best yet. Never before have I not been able to put a book down. I didn't stop until I had finished the book. Be prepared to be horrified and thrilled and to find yourself rooting for the heroine.

Summary: Best Audiobook I've ever listened to...
Review: When I saw that the audio of this book was 18 hours long, I didn't think I had the stamina to get all the way through it. Boy was I wrong!! It is the best audiobook that I have ever been through. Kate Burton IS Chyna Shepard...what a terrific actress/reader. She is so good. So is the story. Mr. Koontz has created a masterpiece. I can usually figure out plotlines long in advance, but with INTENSITY it was a real struggle. I love the struggle. Thanks for a terrific book, and a wonderful reading

Summary: YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO PUT IT DOWN
Review: DEFINITELY THE BEST THRILLER I HAVE EVER READ. WHAT IS SCARY IS THAT YOU COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND THE THINKING AND MOTIVES OF THE PSYCHO AND THE VICTIM. THE ONLY WEAKNESS IS THE LACK OF CLARITY AS TO WHY THE PSYCHO CHOSE THIS HOUSE (WHICH REQUIRED PREMEDITATION) AND THE MEANINIGLESS SECTIONS ON THE ELKS. THIS IS STILL A MUST READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Nonstop Action and Thrills from front to back!
Review: Overcoming unforseen evil and death are the code of survival Chyna follows as Edgler Foreman Vess dances the dance of the homicidal adventurer. This novel is full of dripping anticipation and tension thick enough to cut with a knife. A great read! Dean Koontz did it again!!!!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best book I ever read!
Review: I have read all of Koontz's books, and this is by far his most suspenseful and involving novel. I felt like I was Chyna--I've never been so emotionally involved with a character, and couldn't relax until I was finished. And when I did finish, I didn't want it to be over! Definitely an emotional experience

Summary: A heart thumping read
Review: This is definitely one of the most thrilling books I have read. It was one of the rare cases of `the book I could not put down' and I found at times that my pulse was quickening, and I was reading faster and faster to find out what happened next. This at times was probably equivalent to a walk around the block... I asked a friend if he had read it, and he stared at me with a knowing, wide eyed look and muttered `ooooh, god yes' (shudder). I recommend this to anyone who likes a non supernatural thriller.

Summary: One of the Best Horror Books I'ver Ever Read
Review: I had never read Koontz before, but this book was incredible. It takes a lot to replace Stephen King (at his best) as my favorite horror author, but Koontz came a long way in this book. Unfortunately, this book prompted me to read some of his earlier work, and I was quite disappointed. On the other hand, his newest work, Survivor, looks good (based on a book store read), so maybe Koontz is just hitting his strid

Summary: Intensifying!
Review: Intensity was very suspensful from the first word to thelast. I belive it is Koontz' best novel ever.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: You'll Think Twice About Spending the Night With A Friend.
Review: This book was an "edge of your seat" thriller, right from the beginning. This book was totally unpredictable. Did the people who wrote bad reviews read the entire book? Koontz keeps you in suspense until the very last page. I am not much of a reader, but I have read this book twice and would read it again. Chyna and Edgler Foreman Vess play a game of cat and mouse, until finally someone gets caught. But Who?? You'll have to read the book and find out.
